Good morning, all.
First, adding to the healing vines and prayers for all whose beloveds crossed over in recent days cat_wings>o❤️❤️and for those whose beloveds have been having a rough patch lately. :bighug::bighug:❤️❤️

Yesterday I didn't condo about Sootie, but the thread to the 14th is above. Teddy and Max's passing and Neko's crisis were and continue to be very much in our hearts and prayers here.
Sootie was doing pretty well yesterday, one  in am, then :D:D (only tested three times yesterday).
Yesterday Civvie Bo had bouts of loose stool (and with his mobility limitations, he doesn't navigate in the ways that he used to, and certainly that he would much prefer for his own dignity). Hence rounds of clean up, fresh bedding, wash down floor, bathed him twice (he loves to snuggle, post-bath, all wrapped up in towels on my lap, sweet fella). His poo was normal again this morning, whew. But yesterday my back caved in. Was an ice pack and heating pad day as much as possible for this bean. Continued :bookworm: re IBD/neoplasia/inflammation. Have been keeping Sootie's SS up-to-date though.

Sootie's am bg this morning was 154 (is this when  applies?). Retested 10 minutes later it was 149  and she had already started nibbling on breakfast:). She did eat a little better at first, then returned to dish, eating maybe 1/8 cup slurry so far. How about we go with am@149 ;) ?! It's been five days since any shoots (the morning before her u/s). I am seeing a...pattern?...that her bg does....go down/stabilize?....within an hour or two after food (not just minnow snacks!). So I'm going to retest in a few minutes.

If she's still in mid-blues, makes sense to dose, but my thinking is to do minimal micro dose (such droplet or shaved 0.1u minus droplets?) bc, and I'm verbalizing un-scientifically: this is a lot like a "reintroduction" of insulin to a body that has not 'needed' it for several days and is dealing with possible IBD and possible neoplasia TBD. If, Sootie is back in :D in a few minutes, my thinking is to either continue to 0 dose or do droplet based on any progress, bg, etc.

On Sootie's IBD/possible Neoplasia DX: in addition to :bookworm: (And thank you for the suggested resources and sharing your experiences and knowledge, all of which are
huge help!), talked to our local homeopathic vet, have contacted our long distance homeopathic vet, and gathered some I hope helpful information about veterinary oncology resources within an hour to two hours from here. My thinking at this point is, along Wendy's approach, though really need to know more about whether chemo is appropriate for Sootie and her way. To that end, I'm making appointment at one of the veterinary oncology centers in ct (highly recommended by friend with personal experience there), for evaluation and to see what is or is not appropriate to do without 'invasive' testing. This person also made some good supplement suggestions that would align well with Sootie, but will review with vets first. We're getting there, thanks to you all ❤️

Wishing all good vines day and....smooth surfing (@Gussie's mom !), sailing, rowing (@Wendy&Neko !), dreams of comfort and peacefulness from our GA's and everything else that makes each moment a blessing.

UPDATE: retest at +1.5 after 149 am bg = 126 still in blue. Dosing droplet to be on safe side (appy iffiness). Make sense?

I'd probably ride it out today without insulin. That 126 is still food influenced. If you do dose just make sure you can monitor.
Karen, thanks much. Since my bg update, and before seeing your reply ,she began to eat more. I'd prepared a droplet dose and at first thought to do while she was eating again. As I positioned syringe to shoot, she quickly sang 'nope don't need it." So I held off being ...so close to the moment. Glad you and Sootie are on the same wave length! Glad I listened!

I'm glad Sootie is eating more for you. I'm glad Bo's poo is normal today. I hope your back is feeling better. Sending prayers.
Thank you Carla. I'm glad she's been more engaged with food today, too. Maybe she's looking forward to the hunter's moon party tonight!
And we're all glad Bo us back on track, poo-wise. Saved some for a fecal on Monday but weekend is a little long for it to be 'good' even when refrigerated?
How's your Furball today?

Sootie's two afternoon bg's :Dand :D. looks like she didn't eat much if anything in between, other than crunchy minnows after bg's. Maybe she's saving her appetite for the Hunter's Moon party tonight (and taste testing while on Kitchen Krew ?!).
Supper soon...never good to work on an empty tummy, especially during party-time kitchen duty!

Update: Sootie's pmbg 99. Guess she's getting revved for tonight's hunters moon gala!
