Thank you all for stopping by yesterday with shared experiences, suggestions, encouragement, vines. I so appreciate your support and wisdom.

Polly ate breffis! Oh, not the usual flavors. She held out for something exotic from Weruva (thank goodness for a mom and pop pet shop here in this small town). But she cleaned her plate even lapping up the extra slosh I'd added with warm water.

Still a little bummed. Tail's low; she's walking kind of hang dog. But she's better. She just jumped up on the bathroom vanity to check out her food plate that's up there. Sniffed. Took a couple bites.

We've done fluids and bupe so far. Odansetron, a little bit later. And I'll keep the meds going for a while beyond her feel good date.

I'm still a bit befuddled by the low numbers with the near miniscule amount of insulin she's getting. That will probably blow up in our faces when she finally shakes the icky feeling. I thought that yellow this morning might be a precursor. Nope, not yet. I'm so tired I'd rather having her run in higher numbers today so those blues are just fine! I'll probably keep the itty-bitty dose through tonight and hope I get some sleep.

Sorry for not getting around to visit yesterday. Working at catching up today.

Vines and wishes.

Glad to hear Polly is doing better and cleaning her plate. I am adding more get well vines tonight. I hope you are able to get some sleep tonight.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Vines for Polly and a good night's sleep for you, Marilyn. Those numbers probably reflect Polly's poor appetite, but it's good that she is eating today and that she has found a new food that she likes.
Hang in there! Thinking of you.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Yo Polly, I've got my eye on you. Surf safe. The waterwings are close at hand, so your mamabean doesn't have to worry about you.

Sending surf safely vines to our sweet little buddy! At least she's eating something - she knew you had the good stuff held back for Special Occasions! ;)

Hope you can get a little sleep tonight, marilyn. :bighug:

So glad to hear that she's perked up a bit.

Keep it coming Polly, eat your fuds so you can be healthy and strong and surf flat tonight so the mombean can zzzzzzzz

Wow, when I saw those numbers I had to double check that it was Polly's condo! I'm sorry she still isn't back to normal, but hopefully she's on the mend.

Sending lots of vines and prayers.

I'm so glad that Polly is eating today, even if she isn't 100%.

FUDS ARE GOOD, POLLY! Keep eating and I bet mamabean can come up w/ more of more of the good stuff.

Step by step, day by day, she's improving and I'm glad to hear it. :bighug::bighug: Even better that she made you break out the good stuff but she ate it. :) I hope you get some sleep tonight.

Acrocats can have a fully working pancreas - just their way of throwing even more variability into the mix. :cat: I've seen some SS of kitties that went off insulin after SRT, where the bean skipped the 0.1U dose. It's not like their pancreas needs extra support. Not saying you should necessarily do that, but you could see some odd numbers at those itty bitty doses.

If it's pancreatitis it can take a really long time to go away or go away in a week or two. I'm glad she is eating. Sometimes they don't want what they were eating when they were nauseous and even develop food aversions. Polly, you are NOT allowed to let that happen!
