Either way, that 49 means a reducie. Maybe next weekend you can try the halfway point (0.875)?
I can't do that if I can't monitor. I work full time. I have no choice but to reduce. For a long term diabetic it’s tgree times under 50 to earn a reduction.

Thank youI wouldn’t do it if in your shoes either.

Thank you
It is so difficult. He has been bouncing between 0.5u-1.0u now for about a month. At least he choose to pull this in the morning AND on the weekend.![]()
I understand reducing when they don't "earn" it
Maybe I should amend my signature to indicate that. TR "with consideration of a full time job to pay for the pleasure of dealing with a kitty who has long term FD"For me it would have been TR with modifications
Loves it! It is mixed in with his regular food but he is finishing his meals/snacks in record time! Thanks for the pics, is Gizmo liking it?
Great! I will pick some up this week and hopefully Bronx likes it too. Trying to lessen chicken in his diet to see if that's the culprit for his dandruff.Loves it! It is mixed in with his regular food but he is finishing his meals/snacks in record time!
Where do you purchase the Dave's food?Loves it! It is mixed in with his regular food but he is finishing his meals/snacks in record time!
Chewy. I have all but given up on trying to find food locally. I figure it is well worth my time and ~$30 to order a case and if he doesn't like it then I can just donate to the no-kill shelter. Gizmo loved the FF T&G but he can't have it because it is too high in phosphorus, so this is a great find (thanks Paul for pointing it out). I also got a case of Newman's Own Organic - Grain Free Turkey - but I haven't tried it yet. One thing at a time.Where do you purchase the Dave's food?
I understand completely. That's why I've never done TR. I'm glad Gizmo came back up for you. I'd reduce too.I can't do that if I can't monitor. I work full time. I have no choice but to reduce.
)Shhhhh don't tell Gizmo that a case of anything is in the house!Chewy. I have all but given up on trying to find food locally. I use a mixture. Primary (most oz's) is Weruva Fowl Ball, then I mix in Soulistic, now I am using Dave's. I also use I and Love and You Wholly cow but only 3oz / batch if I use it. You can see on my SS (comments) what the current mixture is and the individual foods are listed on the "Food" tab on the SS.Btw, Lizzie, what is Gizmo’s “ normal” food that u r mixing Dave’s with ? Elmo has been happily eating Whole Earth Duck for months and suddenly NOPE.....the little poop ! Praying you get situation figured out with dear Gizmo ...as I’ve said, those of you who work full time AND care for diabetic kitties are my heroes !

You are very welcome. Just a bit of explanation, Gizmo gets Pancreaplus enzymes in his food. They are digestive enzymes so the need to sit in the food before he can eat it so they don't cause mouth sores. I mix up 5 cycles worth of food at a time (2 1/2 days) because my schedule doesn't allow me to wait the minimum time before I feed at AM/PM PS. This has worked out well and have been doing it for about 6 months. The "5" cycles isn't a special #, just the way it worked out with the measurements and cans of food.Thank you , Lizzie![]()
