Well, my good luck just continues to flow!! My internet went dead yesterday and it'll be Tuesday or Wednesday before they can get a technician out to check the lines

For the first time in a very long time, I had no internet for about 24 hours, but today I went to the AT&T store to ask about hooking up my tablet to my dataplan and at first they said I couldn't because the tablet doesn't have a SIM card...but then they said I could hook it up using the phone as a "hotspot" (I never have understood what a "hotspot" was.....thought it was like McDonalds where you can hook up for free)

So I got the tablet hooked up to the dataplan (but have to be careful about how much I use it) and left pretty happy and headed to WalMart to see if I could get a little keyboard to use with the tablet (I did)....then on the way home I thought "wait a minute....if I can use my phone as a "modem" and hook the tablet up, why can't I hook up the laptop?"....so I stopped into the shop again and asked and she said "sure you can!".....so I'm back on my laptop (and will take the keyboard back to WalMart) and am happy again!!....but I still have to be careful about going over my data limit so may not be around much the next several days

China's holding her reduction so far!!!

Not expecting her to lose any weight at all this past week considering how little exercise she got...hoping maybe taking a break this week she'll be more interested in her toys next week. I can only hope!!!

Hi Chris, nice work getting the hot spot up and running. China looks great, so you'll be able to go easy on your data. I often think how refreshing it would be without internet for a few days!

OMG, when my internet is out I am totally beside myself. Isn't that crazy? But really, I'm alone here a lot, and with no kitties to talk to, without the internet I'd just be wandering around talking to myself. Oh, wait, I do that anyway. I hope you get it fixed soon.

China continues to look great. Maybe you should try taking out a toy she hasn't played with in a long time and see if it's like a "new" toy to her - you know, out of sight, out of mind? Just a thought.

There are only a couple of toys she's ever responded to, so I'm out of luck there....she has no use whatsoever for laser pointers and isn't interested in things like ribbons/feathers, so it's been Da Bird, the Ground prey toy or another wand toy that has shiny strips on the end that make a cool "whoosh whoosh" sound that she finds hard to resist and that's about it

She's bored with them now though so not sure what else I can do except worry that she'll gain all she's lost (both in actual weight and the difference in her insulin requirements)

Oh Chris you sound like me when it comes to the internet. I am so glad you got it figured out. FYI make sure to shut down your devices when your not using them. They run all by themselves and use data!
I have a friend in CA and we call her cats "Hollywood kitties" because the wont use their toys very long. I am glad China is still playing!

Yeah the lady at the AT&T store told me the same thing....that as long as it's on, it's burning through data so make sure to turn it off when you're done with it!

Now I just have to remember how she showed me......LOL
