nope, nothing from yesterday, computer did a Windows update and then would not restart -- talked with local computer geekguru, tried several recovery techniques which didn't work, finally after doing several System Restore procedures, got the computer sort-of back in Safe mode, multiple restarts and I finally got it back running (?) normally, by which time it was a couple hours after bedtime ... and of course it's nagging me that two of the updates failed ... and I am NOT letting it start them again until Dangerous Dan has time to sort through the problems (he's always snowed with customers early in the month)

meanwhile Catcat curled up and purred and scratched at the cabinet (managed to snag one of DH's inhalers off the countertop) and generally did his accustomed things ... got the spreadsheet updated but no sense to start a thread in the middle of the night

I'll never know
what made it so
exciting
well all at once
my heart
took
flight

I hope Catcat keeps heading down. I'm glad you got your computer up and running again. I hope you get the update issues sorted out.

what can I say, I got tired out and short on sleep, was attacked by a nap ...
woke up just in time to get to food bank, but .. grrr .. no catfood available today and pickings were otherwise on the slim side
lots of potatoes turning green and sprouting, lots of bread that we rarely eat
though I did get a loaf of pumpkin spice bread and a sleeve of pumpkin spice bagels, maybe those will help DH solve his excretory problems?

but Catcat will have to settle for organic canned pumpkin with nothing added
going to give his poor ears a rest and wait to test til PMPS, gave him a snack anyway and he's purring at me

dare I call it a PEREMPTORY purr? I think he is meaning "more, now" by that ...

Aren't computers fun? Couldn't live without 'em though...for as much aggravation as they are. Be sure to run your virus scans and keep it updated. I find that helps the most to guarantee the most stable life of your computer.

Hope Catcat came down today :)
