I am very glad that the vet did a thorough exam before they put Magnolia under for her spay - it turns out that she had retained several of her puppy teeth and needed them extracted. They were able to do all of that in the same procedure. Magnolia was very happy to see me when I picked her up from the vet, but she pretty much slept the rest of the night and had no interest in food or water. She ate a little bit this morning, but she is just not a fan of canned food, so I will make her some hamburger and rice.
I was also able to get an appointment at Purdue for Iris on Monday, October 16th, the first day of our fall break. Depending on what they find, she might have to stay over night (or, really, even longer than that). I really want to be close, especially if they decide that they can do surgery. I still have to figure out a solution for my other animals though since my regular sitter is not available that week.
Mandarin and Walter are both doing well. Walter dipped his toes into the lagoon for a bit, so he narrowly avoided a dosecrease. Mandarin still likes to dive in the middle of the night - his lowest numbers always seem to be around 2 or 3 am.... and with a puppy, there is no way that I can sleep past 6 am. Can' wait to take a nap later today... and it looks like Magnolia is still tired enough that she might sleep for a bit too.
