Well, leave it to a cat to thwart the best laid plans of mice and mama's!!

China, who has had problems with car sickness in the past, as well as being one of those cats that reacts to stress by going lower, figured out the best way to get out of going to the vet today!

By dropping to 50, I had to feed her (I tried to only give a little, hoping I could still salvage the appointment) but that only brought her up to 52....so I had to feed her more (thus making it much more likely she'd barf all the way to the vet who's an hour away)

By also being one of those kitties that drops under stress, the idea of driving on a very narrow, 2 lane road with lots of curves, hills and NO shoulder to pull off on made the idea of trying to stop to test pretty ridiculous too....SO......

China got out of her vet visit!! :arghh::mad::arghh:

Tried to reschedule, but the next time they have available that also works for me isn't until next Thursday, so as much as I wanted her to be seen sooner, I guess we'll try again then

China! Stinker! Sorry about the change of plans, but someone really wanted to hang out green today. Or avoid the vet!

I don't think China was trying to get out of the vetty visit. I just think she loves her job and didn't want to miss work! ;):D

Have you tried giving her Cerenia for the car sickness? Works wonders with Sasha.

China, you're going to have to go to the vetty eventually, so might as well bite the bullet and go quietly on Thursday.
