Tomorrow morning Rusty will get a reduction to 0.1 Unit (0.12mm on the digital calipers, Monoject syringe). These jumps and drops have got to be evened out. I'm at my wit's end with poor measuring, fur shots, etc. Gotta get back in the groove!

It was a beautiful winter day here today. I regretted not going on the climb of Blue Mountain. But Edward and I had a nice day with our fine kitty. Rusty had good energy today and ate pretty well.

Sorry to miss your condos. The day simply got away and this evening we vegged out. I made a split pea soup in my Instant Pot. It was good and pretty easy to make.

'night, all,

I'm glad to hear Sir Rusty has had good energy and is eating his fuds :) Our weather is still warmer then usual during the day but getting nice and cool at night. Spit pea soup is super yummy! Hope you can go out and enjoy the weather today :bighug::bighug::bighug: Give Rusty some extra scritches for me.:cat:

Hi Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:
Our resident kitteh barista, Vanessa, sends her best Ethiopian. :coffee:

Good luck with the dose reduction. I wish you much luck with the microdosing. paws are crossed. I know how difficult that it, especially with the monojets. I used those syringes, had to toss some since the well and the needle placement were so off... Ah, the good ole days....:eek::rolleyes: Rusty, wow on that 37 yesterday! It is nice to see you recover nicely from that, minimal bouncing, and back to the green with the PM cycle. Keep up truckin'!

Sorry you had to forgo on the Blue Mountain climb... I have had my share of change of heart, and cancelled hikes, when I realize later that maybe I could have made it... it has been a challenging year to get in the hikes that I truly enjoy. Weather has been such a factor this year! :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: We are now switching to lowland hiking, as our mountain passes have alot of early snowfall (ski resorts may even be open before Thanksgiving! :eek: ) I have found some new ones that have been fun.

I hope all is well with you and Edward. All is well here. DH continues to remain cancer free. Nicholas and William are so looking forward to, and enjoying the holidays. it is hard to believe that this Christmas Nicholas will be 7. Where does the time go??? They are both enjoying school, and doing very well. Nicholas has become a very good, and avid, reader., and school is going very well for him. William is in pre-K, and really looking forward to Kindergarten next year, and being at the same school as Nicholas. ;) They are still swimming, and still loving every aspect of it. we are in the pool 3 times a week! :joyful::smuggrin: Crazy, huh. Nicholas is still trying to make soccer work, as he really enjoys it, but it has been difficult to find a place that is offering classes in the winter. :rolleyes: Our adventures continue, and we continue to be outdoors wherever and whenever the weather permits. That too is on their top things to do list.

Kitties are doing well too. Lola, Bug and Vanessa continue to love their catio, and are out in it all the time, even in rotten weather. it is nice that a large portion of it stays dry, even in high winds and heavy rain. warms my heart to see them out as much as they are. best investment ever. Catios rule! Vanessa is responding very well to her treatment for lymphoma. We are into week three of the chlorambucil drug for the lymphoma, week 7 of prednisilone and B12 for GI support. She has had no reaction to the chlorambucil, no nausea, vomiting, lethargy, etc. That in itself is such a relief! As of yesterday she has regained about 8 ounces of her rather substantial weight loss. That too is so great. So.... we remain hopeful that her treatment plan is working, and she can be with us for many more months/years. Paws are crossed! As far as Vanessa is concerned, she does not know she is sick. She plays, runs the catio, ventures out in it all the time, eats very well, enjoys life as it is. I will hope that this remains true. We do all we can to help support her. Life is good for our kitteh barista.

Have a great rest of your weekend, and a great upcoming week. :cat::cat::cat:

Hi Michelle,
Thanks so much for the update on all your doings, and on our favorite Kitteh Barista. I am so glad that she is tolerating the medications and may she continue to do so. She looks great in her pictures. So do Bug and Lola. How neat that all the kitties are enjoying their catio. Vanessa looks so much like Rusty in the first picture that I did a double-take!

Glad to hear that Greg is doing well and that the boys are thriving in school, swimming, and other pursuits. Too bad the mountain passes are snow-covered already. I was hoping you'd be able to get in some more hikes east of the mountains. Next year!

Wishing you and the family a very Happy Thanksgiving. We'll be in NYC that week and the big family Thanksgiving party will be in CT again.

Rusty sends meows and head butts. He's hanging in there at 9.5 lbs (at his highest weight--which was too much--he weighed 17.5 lbs). Weight loss has been gradual and the vet attributes it to poor appetite (what else is new?) and old age (we estimate that he is about 18 years old).

Hugs and scritches,

Hugs and scritches,
Thanks Ella! My best as always to you, now and at Thanksgiving. Rusty - dude! Keep on truckin'! Vanessa is elated to think she looks like you. COOL! She is trying very hard to match your weight. She think 9.5 sounds great. She's at 8.13oz now. A few more ounces to go she says. Be good, 'K? Wow, 18? Way cool! Vanessa is 16.5, maybe 17. Have a great week, and a joyful Thanksgiving!
