Good morning!
AMPS 103 shooting 2.25u

Once again Boomer got me up at 2:00 after eating about half his fuds. I had decided when I went to bed that, if he got me up, I would test him and then go back to bed without stirring the food. But when I tested him he was 67 and I knew he could still low lower so I needed him to eat a bit more. He had no interest in the rest of whatever pate was in his +6 (even though there were pieces of treats in it) so I gave him some fowl ball. That didn't interest him either until I fed him a forkful  And I had to stir it repeatedly. sigh. It took me a long time to get to sleep once I went btb and then I woke just before his 5:00 opened.

Allen ate reasonably well last night....he had a choice of a pate from the auto feeder, some chicken pate, and some fowl ball. His hind legs are still very weak even with getting the Pred just every other day. He has one dose of it left (Tuesday night) then he'll be done. The diazoxide makes him froth sometimes.....I don't know what the trick is to get a liquid into him without him tasting it but he's had it 6 times now and 3 times he has got frothy. I wash it down with a syringe of water but it doesn't seem to help.

Maybe you didn't stir it in the right direction? :joyful:

Poor Allen, I really hope once the pred is out of his system that his leg issues resolve. Sorry about all the foaming, I have the same issues with liquid meds and Asia, no clue how to make that not happen.

Great start for Boom-Boom!
Maggie is a frother too. First time a vet gave her some pink liquid antibiotic she foamed up and shook her head, cover us and the exam room in pink foam. Hope dear Allen feels better soon.

Boomer seems to be a fussy one
He never used to be when he was eating fancy feast. All this started about a year ago when his levels suddenly started going up and there were rumours about the fancy feast being changed so we found him new foods. Now he turns up his nose at what was his favourite ff, cod sole and shrimp.

It's so nice to see Boomer surfing like Boomer again. Maybe looking for drop 3 soon :) Really hope Allen's legs improve soon. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: Carla has a good idea about seeing if the meds can be compounded.

I will check that out for next time! Meanwhile, this bottle of meds was $100 so we have to find a way to use it.

Could you put it in his wet food and cover with his favorite treat crushed on top to mask the smell? With Fritz I put his orl pred in his food and then I drizzle his Krill oil and it does the trick
Nice start for this cycle.

Poor Allen I sure hope his legs improve.:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Nice, shallow curve for Boomer today. I sure hope his nighttime "routine" can be improved!
Sorry to hear that Allen's legs are still weak. It may take a while after the last dose of that med. Things can stay in the body, as we all know.
Hope you got in a nap today, Judy.
