China!! I guess I forgot to tell you that I had my pain clinic appointment today and I could NOT miss it!!
When I got that +4 and knew I had to leave by +6.5 (and that was pushing it) I pulled out the HC and carbed her up good...then she got some medium carb at +5 and again at +6.5 and then I just had to trust, hope and pray that she was going to surf the rest of the afternoon.....
Looks like she did!!
Probably took several years off my life, but I also know that if I didn't know my girl so well, I could have never left her....Thank God for several years of testing and knowing my cat!
Was pouring down rain this morning when I was supposed to go pick DM up for fasting bloodwork but she didn't feel like going (since it was routine bloodwork and nothing she HAD to do) and when I called to cancel the lab appointment, they said the doctor wasn't going to be there next week to go over her labs anyway (we had an appointment for next Monday to see the doc) so it all worked out. If we'd gotten the bloodwork this morning, and the doctor wasn't going to be back in the office until December, she would have probably had to re-draw the bloodwork anyway. Then I got a call from the lady that does the Medicare counseling ...they didn't have any internet service so she was going to have to cancel DM's appointment and reschedule it so that worked out too!!
Glad to have the pump refilled for another 6 weeks...don't have to go back until January...now I just have to hope we don't get any snow/ice/sleet/freezing rain!
