    Hello all!

I hope everyone is doing well. I don't have a lot of time to be on here nowadays since I took a second job to pay for tiggys tests.. Which showed nothing.. if anyone doesn't remember!

Tiggys walking continues to decline. He is still on his feet right now but I don't know for how much longer. I doubt he will be walking a year from now, maybe not even in six months. His hips are very wobbly as they struggle to maintain his weight as he walks. He stumbles often as the right leg regularly gives way. He just can't feel it at times and can't control where he places it. He occasionally drags it.
He can still jump onto low furniture and get upstairs but it's slow going one step slowly at a time. He still tries to play but he can't run without falling over or stumbling badly. But he is is still Tiggy and full of life. It's just painful to watch, I am glad he isn't in any pain. It's very much like ALS or multiple sclerosis. I just wish I could find a cat, anywhere, with the same issues but all I can find online is dogs, nobody ever seems to have a cat like him.

The n acetylcysteine doesn't seem to help as far as we can tell, neither does the vitamin c and e the vet is trying, but the vet didn't seem to think there was a high chance they would work anyway. We are also trying a little physical therapy. Can't hurt since this is not a physical issue as much as nerve degeneration of the spine at a cellular level.

Anyway nothing we can do except keep him happy, especially since stress makes it worse.. he is on my lap and acting as an iPad rest as a type.. He got turkey bits from my dinner and is happily snoozing.

    Wendy

((((Wendy,Tiggy and Bailey))) Sending continued prayers and vines, I am so sorry to hear Tiggy isn't doing well. What you need is a MAYO Clinic for cats. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

His numbers are great and I'm glad he's doing well despite the issues with his legs. Poor, sweet boy.

I was wondering what kind of vitamin E you are giving him? The reason is because Gracie has needed vitamin E lately and, even though it is a fat soluble vitamin, the specialist said that the water solube liquid vitamin E is better for them. I found two kinds: Twin Labs LiquiE (which has glycerine and raises the BG) and AquaE which is what I give her and has made a big difference. It also doesn't raise her BG. I'm giving it to her for her liver but still, I wonder if, for any chronic condition, if the water soluble liquid vit E is better? I did give her regular Vit E for a bit and it didn't help.

    Anyway...just brainstorming.
