Benefits of Coconut Oil for Cats

Externally, Gardner says coconut oil can help with allergies, dry skin, itchiness, and overall coat health. Internally, coconut oil can benefit a cat's immune system, help with hairballs, reduce arthritis inflammation, improve bad breath, and help with a healthy stomach, she says.

Please read the entire article before using the Coconut oil. You only need a very small amount . I rub it on Ravan's ears after testing & a tiny bit, warmed up in my hands ,into his fur.

Ravan only woke me up once last night! I think he was just wanting to eat because I fed Peggy Sue frequently.
Alice is drinking a lot of water. She'll be next to get lab work. I tested her blood & Bg was normal. It's probably her kidneys.

I agree with you wholeheartedly about the coconut oil. I often sit down to apply it to my feet before putting socks on - and Luci comes running for her share. She absolutely LOVES coconut oil. So she gets a very small amount in the lid- about the size of a green pea - and she works on that lid until every drop is gone - I have no idea why she likes it so much, but I've read many articles about it being good for their coats, etc. Too bad it hasn't helped her diabetes in the least...but she has lovely smooth velvety fur.

I hope the vet/labs return good news for Alice and Ravan. At least Ravan has lovely BG numbers.

Have a good evening Joy!

I use coconut oil for lots of things. I haven’t been giving it to the fur kids though. I will read the article and see how they like it.
Glad Ravan mostly let you sleep last night. Prayers for good blood work for he and Alice both!
