Happy Caturday!

Want to share something I have been trying... and it is working!

I was using tuna water to try and get potassium into Gizmo. I would put the dose in a small ramekin and then add the tuna water and mix it up and syringe it in. It was working well but I was throwing away cans and cans of tuna (very little water in the can and hubby can only eat so many tuna fish sandwiches). I found a bottle of clam juice (Snow's Bumblebee). The juice is at local grocery stores and mine was with the tuna fish/canned fish section. I believe it could be used for many meds but I am using it for the potassium only right now. I only use 1 teaspoon to mix the potassium into and then syringe it. Then I give him a freeze dry treat to help absorb some of the "salt" and settle his tummy. He does not fight me on it at all, in fact, I think he really likes it.

Cost for 8oz bottle was ~$2.50.

Cute pic! Think Giz is looking for a little increase? I'm hoping for a beach party soon :)
He got one 11/22PM (up to 1.0U). Now I have to wait out the epogen shot which tends to make him high also. Hope to see what this dose will do by mid-week. Poor guy just can't catch a break :(

He did seem to have a great day yesterday. Was up and about and underfoot. Came to and got lovins, purry and bright eyed. Still not sure about today (yet).

Love the photo!

Clam juice! Brilliant! I bet you could freeze it in ice cube trays too and bring one out to thaw as needed to lengthen the shelf life after opening the bottle.

Next, he'll be asking for clam chowder! LOL
