Yesterday's turkey dilemma...lol

Looks like Miss China is going to let me go shopping for the stuff for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow!! Was a little concerned at +3, but a little of her regular low carb food seems to have done the trick!!

Since the number of people seems to be constantly changing, I think I'm just going to buy some extra side dishes and cut the turkey thin if we need to....really don't want to buy another turkey if I don't have to and I'm thinking that since the 2 "extra" ladies are 70'something and 93, they probably won't eat a lot anyway...Of course there has to be a little extra turkey to bring home to the kitties!!

Hope everyone is having a nice humpday and if you're traveling, you're having a safe trip! Looks like we're going to be flooded out, but it's starting to look like it's not supposed to be really bad until tomorrow evening/Friday morning. Rain is fine with me though...Much better than the alternative!!

My internet has been just awful tonight....keeps disconnecting me :(:mad:

Got all the side dishes, took them over to DM's apartment (so I wouldn't have to trudge them into my house, then out to the car again, then into her place tomorrow in the pouring rain) and somehow knocked the top off the gravy.....poured almost all of it out into the bag....just hasn't been my day!!

But China's doing great and yes, I'm VERY thankful that she's still with me this Thanksgiving, has recovered so well from her URI and is back holding down her job as Deputy LagoonMistress Extraordinaire!!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving with your loved ones Chris, especially China. Sorry to say that the mishap with the gravy made me smile, I'm glad I'm not the only one things like that happen to!
 
Don't worry, @suki & crystal, you are NOT alone in having bad luck like that. I am the queen of spillage and breakage!

Sorry you lost your gravy, Chris, but at least you have time to drop back and punt. I hope you and your family have a wonderful day together tomorrow.
