Yesterday's condo

I was so hopeful when I saw Mandarin's BG this morning that I decided to give his pancreas a little longer to see if he can get back on track. But with that 154 three hours after he ate, his OTJ trial is officially over and he will be back on the juice tonight. :arghh:

Ironically, today also marks four years since his very first BG test and shot at home. And while I wish that he would have gone into remission for good by now, I am very thankful that he is doing so well. He has really made a dramatic turnaround from my little feral kitten to a cat that demands attention from his mama bean (even though he is still invisible to the rest of the world and has never dared to approach anyone but me).

I'll be back later to visit some condos - but I better get the last of my leaves raked before it starts to rain and then snow.

At least Mandarin made the decision easy - with a 132, there was no need to second guess myself. He is officially back on the juice. I started with a conservative 0.1 and we will see where that takes him.

LagoonMeisterin China would be very happy to have a deputy like Mandarin!!

She can sympathize with you too....She went OTJ for only about a month (after over 4 years of treatment) so she understands how disappointing it can be to be so close, yet so far!

But in all reality, as long as our kitties are feeling good and doing well, it really doesn't matter if they're OTJ or still needing insulin. Their good health is all that matters!!
