@Sushi when you tested in the AM cycle today at +6 and got 137 did you give him food? I’m just wondering if he might have dropped low after that then bounced because he has shot up high again?

I don't know if he ate after +6. I'm in and out at the at the time because I take my lunch to test him.

You are a good mamabean to come home to test him during the day!
He's looking like he likes the 1 unit.
As the depot fills you will probably find the numbers drop more over the next few days

When you come home to test him during the day, do you give him a snack?
Or does you Mom still.feed him during the day?
If you find he is dropping when you test when you come home at lunch, I would give him a snack then, to stop him dropping too low. If he doesn't drop too low or drop too fast, he is less likely to bounce and get those high numbers.

Mom feeds him when I work. Thanks for the tip, Sushi is dropping right now so I gave him a snack.

Would you be able to document in the remarks column of the ss when you test the urine for ketones and the result please? With a recent history of DKA I think I’d test every other day especially while he is in higher than normal numbers.
He is going so well, we want to make sure he stays well.
How is his appetite now ?
You really have done a good job getting him back to health.
