We missed a couple days, here's the 14th. Leda's been a little moon crazy these past few nights, sleeping all day and being rowdy (well 17-year old cat rowdy) at night, which makes him happy, but isn't letting me get much sleep. He's cozy and happy, and put up with my trimming his claws yesterday joyful.

We didn't get much snow here and it didn't stay long, but Leda likes it when we do and still goes out (when he was younger he used to make "snow angels" )--I think he remembers it from his prairie kittenhood. He's got amazingly insulating fur (he can go out in the pouring rain and only the outer layer of his fuzz gets wet) so he's pretty happy in the cold. I guess I'll just keep blaming the moon for his brattyness .

Today I got Leda to play "catch" with his 'nip balls (his version of catch requires that the balls be dropped where he can grab them without getting up . Maybe he just needs more daytime entertainment .

I know how it is though....trying to get China to move so she'll burn a few extra calories and lose some of her extra fluffiness is always fun.....I seriously think I burn more calories waving the silly wand around than she does trying to actually catch it!!
