Good morning!
AMPS 221 shooting 2.5F

Last night I changed Boomer's feeder timer so that his +9 overnight fuds actually opened at +9 instead of +8.5 hoping that by +9 he would be hungry enough that, when he heard the dish turn, he would get up. But unfortunately he was eating his +6 fuds around +8 (he woke me to stir the remainder of it) so he didn't get up at +9. Not sure what I'm going to do now; giving him less at +3 means that he is waking me in the middle of the night to "stir" his food. And when that happens I can't get back to sleep. I can't free-feed or Boomer the Hoover will eat everything at +3. idk, will have to think about it. I would really like him to eat at +6.

Today on this Bean's agenda: I have a maternity session in a local park at 10:00 (+3). DH will be home with Boomer during this time. It's quite cold out and the session includes a 2 year old so it likely won't last more than an hour tops.

Ha, these kids sometimes. They're lucky they're cute, right?! :p Good luck with the photo session today and I hope you can figure out a good feeding schedule for Booms during the night. Sleep is definitely a good thing!

Goodness me, Boomer. Ben is a similar eater. Thankfully, he doesn't make much of a fuss about eating overnight, but in the evenings, he is relentlessly wanting his food stirred, a bit more added, "move my bowl slightly to my left" :banghead: Cats! :p We actually thought about getting one of those microchip bowls for Ben, as we can't free-feed either because Mr. Darwin is a little piggy.

Hope you come up with something that allows you to get better sleep!

Could you maybe reduce him to two feedings over night: one at +3 and one at +8? Maybe he would be hungry enough by then to actually eat his food on his own. I usually give my boys some food right before I go to bed (which tends to be around +3) and then set an alarm somewhere between +6 and +8 (depending on their BG). And that seems to work pretty well. But I also don't have any issues falling back asleep immediately after I get up to feed everyone. Hope you can find a solution that works for Sir Boomer.

Yes, I've been considering two feedings around +3 and +8. His +3 is when we go to bed. I would really like him to eat something at +6 just in case he's dropped lower than I expected. I may end up giving him a larger +3 again (which does seem to keep him from waking me) and then a second meal at +7 or +8, that might work. CATS!
