Good morning and Happy Boxing Day and or St. Stephen's Day.

Sootie's ambg 69. At top of stairs to greet, great with remedies, added Nux v. This morning. yuck with oral pharmo goo. Appy iffy. Will assist feed if she doesn't perk up appy-wise.

Azalea was sound asleep in bedding next to radiator. Went straight for fud. Has a little sniffle this morning. Tomorrow morning is her OV followup visit. Then Sootie's recheck at vetty late afternoon.

Vines for good day for all :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I hope Sootie's appy picks up. Nice that Azalea is eating good. I hope her sniffles clear up. Sending good vetty vines for both girls for tomorrow. :bighug::bighug:

Thank you Carla. Hope all is well with you Furball and Baby:).

Having a gotta vent moment here.
Am just off the phone 'to' the gi group (noting that this gi group is truly turning out be not of the 'with' philosophy) that the GI specialist is in. I completely understand that doctors are busy. I completely understand it's holiday time, etc. But they say again wait again for the doctor to call whenever she's available to review any tests.

The results should have been in a week ago and I've not received a call or call back either.

Last time they said all Sootie's info to date was there but they don't send anything to the primary vet or provide docs to the client until 'all tests are in."

Today they say (though they sure had internal access to everything a few weeks ago when sorting out the meds) that there is no information in the system about Sootie.

This group acts like holding info close to the vest to capture clients is more important than the client and patient and inter professional collegiality. I don't take well to arrogance. My dander is up now and gotta chill!!!!! Mantras mantras mantras.

    Good Morning Sina~

Sending appy vines to Sootie and hoping that the follow up goes well. Your frustration with the GI group is so founded as I too have issue with arrogance and find it so funny that the payment is due immediately but the practice can take their time with calls back an test results to be revealed. I would be inclined to ask to speak to the vet about your issues because it sounds like the front desk is really dropping the ball. And my dander would be more than up!!! They clearly need to get their "story" straight.

Glad that Azalea continues to eat well and is healing up nicely and sending good vetty vines there as well! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Bobbie if there were a thumbs up emoji here, I'd be emoji'ing a whole page in both accord and thanks for affirming that I am neither alone nor nuts in the way I feel about practices who treat clients this way.

If I don't hear back from the gi doc by noontime, I will craft an email (working it out in my head already).
Of course my hunch is that the net result will be me being put on the list of difficult clients and being treated with more indifference. But they're not the only gig around. And I'd rather have Sootie and me and my primary vet being treated with communicative respect (= team Sootie) than being another cog in the corporate wheel of their way or no way (they don't want any other 'cooks in their pot.'
Well, we have our way!!!! Man/woman the torpedoes! ;)

I'm sorry the GI vet's office is being so difficult. I hope when you contact the vet you get better results. :bighug:

Good evening. No pmbg yet for Sootie; she's been elusive today, rooted her out to assist feed a couple of time, most recent when she came downstairs. Nixed all fud offerings. So made a liver shake and assist fed her about 4-5 ml in kitchen. Made it with carrot juice..silly me I'm trying to get fud in and worrying about whether carrot juice will throw her off bg-wise!
    She circulates around downstairs.

The gi specialist did call back late this afternoon. The PARR Assay results from UPenn aren't back yet (the turnaround time stated on 12/9 was about 2 weeks). Now she says could be weeks. (Apparently it goes to UPenn and then to UCDavis...)

She did say "happy" to send everything to date to primary vet and continue to keep updated etc. and they'd do it today. Progress though unsettling.

She continued to push, discretely, to start leukarin without any confirming test results. I'm still quite nervous about that suggestion. Suggests that the omezaprole is best option for Sootie even though it's become impossible to dose. Says try the capsules even if full of sugar. As for appy, either try 1/8 of a mirtazapine pill (I think I have smaller dosage pills) that I'm reluctant to try again bc of Sootie's earlier side effects. or ask reg vet for Cypro rx to try instead. I had to ask about the Cypro.
Nope on anything for possible pain. She's says "you're doing a great job keep it up." Doesn't feel that way when Sootie's appy off.
I'll talk to reg vetty again tomorrow about rx for bupe and the Cypro when I bring Sootie in, His pain med of choice is tramadol, tho the side effects here for some other cats, such as Azalea, been kinda scary. I think we're gonna need to evaluate test for p'titis, DKA even if to rule them out.

So here we are...another familiar dance in LL L re these kinds of meds that are such trial and error to find the right combo. Feeling doubly flummoxed bc everything's a maybe. I've been trying to maintain good nutritional balance and extra support for situation(s) full of possible diagnoses that are all maybe's.

Perhaps Sootie has forgiven me enough by now to embrace the evening routine of remedies, ear prick and maybe maybe maybe fud on her own. Crossing paws.

I apologize for feeling so agita today o_Oabout these Twixt and tweens and frustrations with bureaucracies. deep breaths Sina...

Azalea and DH doing their evening snuggle eat snuggle routine.

Vines for gentle night for all in LL.:bighug:
