Good morning all, and wishes for a smooth day all around and for all:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sootie came to the stairs while I was in my usual slow ascent. Sorry, Soots, fasting still on....
Her Bg at 7:29am was 144. At first I thought her breathing was much improved, then it resumed. Les, though not much luck with getting a good steam up in the bathroom for Sootie, the Vicks baby vaporizer (water only) I think is helping to moisten the air in her primary room. And thank you.

We're heading out soon to the gi consult. Rain here with forecast of intermittent snow, with snow forecast for north of us, right where we're heading. So leaving a bit earlier just in case.

Wishing you all a beautiful day and will update when know more.

Hugs hearts vines and thanks from us here❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ps. Azalea has taken to sleeping in her carrier at night...hmmmm....

First all your prayers and well wishes for Sootie, today and always, bring light to the uncertainties and tears of thankfulness for you all❤️

Sootie a real trooper. The gi/endocrinology specialist, good. And she really is co-specialist with feline diabetes special interest.
Going ahead with new b/w including the blood test for myasthenia gravis, X-rays to see if any changes from a week ago, new ultrasound. Depending on results, endoscopy a possibility today.

Will be a long day here but let's cross paws for good outcome for sweet Sootie.

Rain did turn to snow, snow turning to rain while en route north this morning. Now it's another grey soggy day, the sort that's ideal for snoozing.

Will update when know more. She said would be a couple hours or so for the first round of tests.

Thanks and hugs and ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sina

Going ahead with endoscopy. x-ray & u/s show definite thickening. Crossing paws. Dr. G said Sootie should be able to come hone around 5pm.
The MG test takes about a week to get results.

There's a local library nearby..hoping to find a cozy chair there that I call fall asleep in for awhile!

Back at clinic. Library parking full. Getting pooped out. Rather be here anyway nearby Sootie,

Waiting and no word yet.

The sun did come out for a bit, then played hide and seek behind winter greyness. Gettingto be sunset time... here in this waiting room that low horizon winter light was bright and warming for a few minutes, now sliding into the winter horizon. Did zzzzzz in chair for a little bit. Mostly droolers coming and going, a couple of folks with kitties.

Lookin like we'll be on our way home soon. Sootie did very well with sedation.
Just saw the endoscopy pictures with dr g.
Esophagus narrows near going into stomach and esophagus is inflamed (some stomach acid actually gurging up from upper stomach ). If I am digesting (pardon pun) this accurately:
She thought stomach looked ok (inflammation) but there is a mass in lower stomach wall that actually acts as an obstruction to the flow of stomach contents into the intestine. Did tissue biopsy and took sample of the mass. Takes a "few" days to get results. She's holding off on sending out the blood work sample for MG test.

She is giving sootie a cerenia injection and more to continue tomorrow. Also an antacid to do at home, liquid vs pill or capsule form. Says for her to eat whatever she wants and as often as she can and will. She is talking to my reg vet now to update etc. also not recommending feeding tube at this time

❤️❤️❤️❤️:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: Thank you all!!!!!!

We are home. Pulled off the road on way to receive call from compounding pharmacy r liquid rx dr g. called in. I think it's for omeprazole. I'm too whooped to refer to any paperwork now. The compounded rx arrives Wednesday. Chose the sugar free salmon flavor. Too bad they don't do minnows!

Sootie out of her carrier, went straight for the dish of food (bella's breakfast that I'd put out for her, once Sootie was in carrier, and that DH hadn't picked up), one lick, then straight to under bed. I'd probably do the same. They said give her a couple hours to settle in before offering food, so I'll offer her some fresh in a little while. Will, try to check her bg in awhile too (and she does have a reprieve from fluids and a/b tonight, so that's one less needle prick for her to endure). Dr g did suggest holding off on insulin for the time being, managing with food as best can at least til we see what the biopsy results are.

Even though the whole biopsy thing and the presence and location of the mass attached to her stomach wall (and its location) is pretty worrisome (understatement and also anti jinxes), I was relieved that in her opinion and and valuation, Sootie's food and vomiting difficulties are not because of mega esophagus or myasthenia gravis. Yes, Sootie has peripheral neuropathy (gait) that has become quite pronounced in recent weeks, but she's not convinced that there's neuropathy of the esophagus. At the moment I'm feeling that we're in glass half full mode and with some direction even though the glass half empty's possibilities could be......anti jinx anti jinx anti jinx.

Hugs hearts thanks and vines for all your help and kindness and thanks for hanging in with us always,
Sina (who is ready for a goodly nap right now, too)!

Sina, just getting caught up on the news from the vet visit. Sounds like it's mixed news at the moment. I hope Sootie was able to eat some and keep it down. I've been worried about the risk of hepatic lipidosis, due to not enough nutrition. I know you've been doing all you can to get food into her. I do hope you get some answers soon, and a plan for helping her get better.

Sending continuous vines, prayers and :bighug:s.

Many vines and hugs heading Sooties way, hope she manages to eat and keep some food down.

Yes I've been worried beyond words about hepatic lipidosis and ketones, too. Amazingly and I have no idea why, so far feels like luck and everyone's love holding her in safety, bc surely seems as if an anomaly that she hasn't gone into hepatic distress or dka under the circumstances. I thank you all and her spirit friends helping her and us through.

So with that in mind and being so painfully aware that situations can change on a dime or in a nano-second, all the more reason to get her eating better again, the nausea/vomiting under control, and whole body support nutrients and supplements going again and without her vomiting them up. Her homeopathics clearly need to be adjusted. She'd always liked the standard process glandular supports (which I've been gradually reintroducing in tiny pulverized amounts...to think that she used to eat them like candy). And the Chinese herbs she'd been on she's rejected when in food (a dance to determine if she herself is saying it isn't right for her or if bc of nausea and vomiting the scent puts her off). And her neuropathy...homeopathic vet suggested standard process cataplex-b (bc of it being more while food sourced) in place of the zobaline for diabetic cats. unfortunately, nobody will touch it even if I pulverize it in food. I don't dare syringe watery stuff with Sootie right now. A dilemma...
