Lincoln finished off January with his first no pink/red day!

Yesterday was a tough day for us, Taz's progress was in the wrong direction. Last night we took her to the eclinic because she was curling up in pain figuring we had to find out if it was a pain we could manage or time to let go. The vet gave us some gabapentin to try overnight and it was almost instant improvement. She seems more relaxed, sucked and lapped the food right out of 2 syringes. This morning she headed to her food spot so I put a dish of food there and a little bit ago she ate on her own for the first time in days. She could sure use some many prayers and vines for continued improvement they are working so far.

Sending tons and tons of healing vines for Taz.
Glad to see lower #'s for Lincoln Maybe blue later. Anyway, Yellow is better than that stinky pink or awful red.

I understand your worry and stress. I'm so glad Taz is rallying and that the Gabapentin helped her. Sending many healing vines and prayers for her continued improvement.

Nice slide, Lincoln! You're headed in the right direction! :)
 
Thanks for all the vines, snowflakes, prayers and white light for our girl. Unfortunately it was time for her to go. It was hard to make the decision when she had such a good morning, but she just went down again. Our decision was confirmed as we waited at the vets and her breathing became distressed, her body was clearly failing and there was no getting better.
She was our first furbaby together and has been with us since 1997, the summer after we got married we brought our little ball of hell fire home. She had spunk and was full of love...on her terms. She might have caused the term torti-tude to be coined. She has been such a constant and always just kept on no matter what, it is hard to wrap my head around the idea that she is gone.
Here's our baby. Her as a baby many years ago and last summer. She aged so well she didn't look her age at all until the last year.

I hope you are playing the grass with your sisters my love. Learn to love your brothers. Your mommy and daddy will miss you so much.

I'm so very sorry that you had to let Taz go. I understand your pain and grief and everything you are going through, having just gone through it twice myself. You did a wonderful thing for her today, and I know it was the hardest thing you've ever done. You are in my thoughts and prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

It's so not fair for this to happen so soon after Chris Farley. Vines for your heart. May it be filled with fond remembrances of your beautiful girl and the long, blessed life that she was so lucky so share with you. Fly free sweet Taz.
