Tuna is a common allergy along with all fish for cats. Not sure though that coughing is a side effect of food allergies  Hope she slides down a bit and the new syringes get there quickly.

Good morning

When I pulled her from the tuna food she stopped coughing. Once I started it again she is back to coughing, not as bad as before. When I say coughing I mean she can't breath , coughing with fluid. It almost sounds like an asthma and smoker attack all at once.

That's not good and warrants a chest xray at the very least.
Morning

We did have a full blood work, X-rays, paid to have the X-rays checked by an expert. Two weeks ago
Was given antibiotics and told we should change her food. The food part I did not want to do because it's a pain having to figure out the new amount of insulin. The coughing did not stop completely until we changed her food. The problem is the low carb food is mostly fish of some sort. The others I have tried send her into red danger zone.

Very frustrating!

Sorry about the coughing. I hope you can find a food she likes that works for her. You can always adjust the insulin. I hope your syringes arrive quickly.

So I assume they didn't see anything?

The food thing will drive you banana's for sure!
Hi
They said there were marks on her lungs that looked like an infection, this was why they gave us the antibiotics.
The food is nuts. The can says one thing and her BG says another!
The turkey and chicken make her bg jump a lot compared to tuna.
