Hello friends,
It's been a few days and full of winter weather patterns the likes of which I don't recall experiencing before. But it is what it is, to coin the oft worn phrase.
Azalea continued to improve, with the anesthesia etc beginning to clear her system. Appy improved, her sense of being began to shine again, all good signs. Then last night noticed while doing the ore-meal clean gunk from mouth area, saw that the outer area of her mouth was pink and raw. This morning, even more so. Dentist not on call, vetty not in the loop on the dental surgery. In the meantime I've been gently wiping with coconut oil and very dilute herbal wash (is calendula, eye bright and St. John's wort) to keep area clean and soft. She continues to eat, more so with Steve. I'm the one who does the icky stuff! Dentist opens early tomorrow so I'll call soon as he's open.
Other civvies ok, and enjoy sleeping, snow watching and, in the case of Spunky, racing from window to window to check out the action, whatever the heck it may be.
Feeling weirdly flat of articulation and submerged lately. Not an ideal way to be. My friend's husband is nearing his time and is on morphine pump now. She and I have been on phone or texting daily because the weather has made visits difficult. Another friend and neighbor of ours has been in hospital, diagnosed with atrial fibrillation when she went in for a colonoscopy.
Then onto the mundane: minor plumbing problem at home and plumbing problem at the shop (the latter has happened before when something goes wrong with the grease trap for the restaurant in the building. Stinky stinky stinky but grateful for no overflow)!!!!!!
Sending lots of love and vines for all in challenges, need and extra hugs. Thank you all for being the loving, caring souls that you are. L&LL is
