Maggie wouldn't eat anything after t/f/s last night. She ate a little this AM before her stomach started gurgling loudly. She paced for a while like when she needs to poo but can't, then she went to her bed. I'll try feeding some FF later. I believe the high BG and refusal to eat is due to constipation. She did eat quite a bit of poached chicken yesterday morning and afternoon. Probably didn't get enough water to keep things moving.

Maybe I should just buy phosphorous binder from Thriving Pets and feed FF, which she usually eats. Vet didn't think she needed a binder yet.

 

Poor Maggie. I hope she can poop and she feels better today. Sending prayers.

Could you save the poaching liquid to add to her chicken? My boys love it.

Yes, I saved it and froze it in cubes. I've been giving the liquid separate from the chicken because she wants to be hand-fed the chicken pieces... She likes the liquid, but doesn't drink too much at any one sitting.
