2/14 Maggie AMBG 140, Back from vet

Maggie ate very little yesterday. Seemed to have an appy, but was nauseous when she smelled food. Gave 5mg pred in the afternoon hoping it would help her eat, but it didn't. Drank lots of water. Would drink small amounts of chicken broth and clam juice, usually. She is also congested and gets wheezy when I carry her somewhere.
Going to go to the vet this AM, but not sure if anything can be done. DH and I discussed last night that it might be time to let her go, as much as that hurts. We don't want her to be in pain.

We are back from the vet. BUN and creatinine are higher than 2 weeks ago. Vet thinks possibly glaucoma is causing pressure in head and possible respiratory infection, so she's back on zenequin. Gave her a dex shot and B12 shot. Upped fluids to .5ml twice a day. Pred 2.5mg twice a day, start cypro again. Got some Royal Canin recovery food to try and going to another vet for Science Diet a/d. Probably try to do a liver shake too. My poor little Maggie-lou...

Aw, Maggie! Please feel better soon. I hope everything helps, those b12 shots can be magical sometimes too. Does anything address the possible glaucoma pressure? Or is that a surgery only thing?

HI My little girl Has Glaucoma she is given Humorsol and 3 other eye medications She has done well for over a year now. How come they did not give your a script for eye pressure meds?

I am so sorry to hear that Maggie is not doing well. Here's hoping that the new meds given will help and I hope she will like he liver shake. I had to syringe feed it to Bubba when he was off his feed, but it jumped started his appy again.
