Now then Rosa - behave yourself today please!

Leaving my account logged in, just in case she drops low - figure it's easier if we both use the same account just in case.

LOL! I am wondering if the drop at +6 last night is the shed at work, meter variance, or pancreas working a bit of magic. Well now that I think of it, it probably isn't meter variance, because I am pretty sure Rosa got a bit of a food spike after eating dinner. I am interested to know what the experts say, is there any way to know for sure? I guess if Rosa keeps earning reductions then it is most definitely her pancreas kicking. So I guess I just answered my own questions.

Way to go Rosa!

Sending lots of good vines for your first day at work! Some of those for the actual workday, some of them for any nerves you may have about leaving. :bighug:

Behave, Rosa! You have lots of treats and snuggles in store when Mamabean gets back!

And she decided to surf blue for us today so not too much stress for either of us thankfully :) Though that flat blue might mean we're in for an interesting evening ;) She's getting snuggles now - apparently I'm the only person she really sits still for for testing!

@Tina & Sami - we've been wondering for a few days if her pancreas is trying to kick in on and off. Some days it does look as though it is - and some days instead of spiking from food, she seems to drop in the hour after she eats which I think might be a good sign. We're cautiously hopeful at this stage that she might be a candidate for OTJ at some point :)

Wow, you're not joking - look at Sami go today!! :D :D

Figure I'm giving Rosa her shot regardless tonight - if she can drop low right after a skip, then as far as I'm concerned she's earned a try at back to back reductions!

True - OK, she was in blue instead of green for a fair bit of today, but she didn't throw any really nasty numbers at me for skipping :) Which does help because we do have one evening coming up in about 3 weeks that we'd bought tickets to a show months ago before Rosa got sick. I'd been trying to figure out how to manage her shot that night with no-one home or if I was going to have to cancel and stay home with her, but if I have to it looks like I could skip that once without it doing too much harm.

Yeah, an hour or so to at least get a hot drink and a snack (for me) and relax before I have to get into crazy testing would be nice!!

Rosa - food spike, you're meant to have one!!

Maybe she's mad at me for leaving her today and trying to make sure I don't do it again! :P

It really didn't take her long at all - and as far as I can tell she never went over 200, so I don't think there was too much damage done fortunately :)

OK, Rosa - I give up...I have no idea what these numbers are about. It does make me wonder if she dropped lower at some point this afternoon though.

Oh she's looking good - she's just confusing me with the up and down numbers, but all in the 'normal' range. She doesn't seem to have a defined nadir anymore - though maybe that's a good thing if it means food isn't spiking her levels like it was.

It wasn't too bad as first days go thanks for asking :) I think it'll get better the rest of the week - the first day always seems to be about getting lost trying to find the coffee machine and figuring out system logins ;) The people there seem to be friendly though, which is always one of the most important things when it's a temp contract! :)
