Apparently, last night's brief visit to the lagoon was too much for Walter - he is already back on his beloved trampoline and is bouncing to the moon.
I finally made the appointment for Lenny's surgery. I have to drop him off in Ann Arbor next Tuesday, so I am trying to spend time with him... and not cry the entire time. I am nervous about the surgery, I feel incredibly guilty for canceling my trip to Germany and I am just sick to my stomach about the entire thing.
...and on top of that, I have to submit a book review by Tuesday - so I really need to get some work done. Well, it's probably a good thing that I have something to do.
Also back by popular request: a picture of my two baby girls. They are almost 10 months old now and I don't think they could be any cuter... but I might be a little biased.
Of course you are biased, but with reason, they are sooooo cute.
Scritches for the girls and your boys, Mandarin continues to look good, and I hope Walter decides to come back down soon (nothing too dramatic mind)
Sending vines for Lenny, I'm sorry to hear he hasn't improved as much as you would like.
Come on Walter and slide down for momma. Nice number for Mandarin. The girls are adorable!
You have to go to Ann Arbor MI for Lenny's surgery? Christine, I am so sorry you had to make the choice about surgery vs your trip to Germany. I hope your family understands. I am sure I would have done the same thing.
Those are two super cute comfy cozy little girls. Thanks for posting a new picture I wish there was something to say to make you feel better but that's not very likely. Keeping continuous vines and prayers for Lenny and loads of for you. Work always kept me somewhat sane through some crazy times so glad you do have something to put your "head" into.
They have a specialty clinic there with four neurologists and my vet has worked with them several times. Even Purdue only has one neurologist on staff and the first appointment that they had for an MRI was not until this week. It is a little further away than Chicago or Purdue, but not by much.
Yes, it definitely helps to have something to do - but, ironically, the book that I am reviewing is about media representations of immigrants. I think I just can't escape that topic at the moment.
The decisions we have to make as Beans are so difficult! I am happy that they can do the surgery within a reasonable amount of time.....how far away from Ann Arbour are you?
Happy to hear that Walter made a visit to the lagoon; hope he doesn't bounce too long! Mandarin is doing excellent OTJ!
Nice picture of your beautiful baby girls!
The girls are just beautiful. Sending boatloads of hugs and prayers...too much stress for one person there, but you've got all of us to help as much as we can.
Bookend kittens sleeping in similar positions!! Look at how glossy Flora is. That's one healthy cat! And I love little Iris's coloring. Thanks for the pic.
I'm sure you're so worried about Lenny. Will you be able to bring him home that night or will he have to stay at the vet's for a couple of days? Not that you want to miss your mom's birthday, but the timing works out so you can stay and nurse Lenny back to health. I wouldn't be able to leave town either if one of my critters was having surgery.
I'm glad you were able to get Lenny scheduled soon. I'm sure you're worried about it, but better to get it done and hopefully, he will come through fine and feel much better afterward. We're starting the vines flowing now, so there will be a good supply surrounding him on Tuesday.
Thank you for giving us an Iris and Flora fix! So big! So adorable!
Mandarin, looking good!
Walter, who let you into the trampoline room again? Come out of there, please!
