I see hopefully positive signs, she had a +9 of 210 last night, which makes me happy. I'm hoping it holds for the rest of the week and we have resigned our time on the trampoline a bit.

@Wendy&Neko You always mention the before bed test, is it always important, or just more important when recovering from a bounce or weird/active numbers?

I didn't get one last night because I fell asleep on the recliner at 7pm and just went to bed, I needed one night of going to bed close to on time (7:45ish) or my coworkers are going to start rebelling against me.

Truth be told, it is just important to get some tests in the middle of the night, rather than none. Later is better with Lev. I see a lot of people getting no tests at all in the night cycle. Depending on schedule, before bed is easier for most people. Great catch on that 210 last night. :) I think she is showing us she is ready for that increase when you can get to it.

Just checking, I figured unless I was worried about her numbers when I gave her a shot, since she pretty reliably has onset at +4, as long as I can test close to that or later I'm getting useful data. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't some other reasoning I was missing out on.

Yup on the bouncing, plus she needs more juice. For what it’s worth, I think she be safe with that increase. As long as you can get some night time tests in.

I suspect so as well, but I can't afford to be distracted at work tomorrow and I most likely would be terribly distracted constantly worrying about her, if she ate for hubby etc... I did catch her finishing off the dogs dinner, which I have never seen her do, so we're going to end that right quick.

I swear, these cats get better and better at finding any little bit of higher carb food anywhere. I'm all for intelligent/canny pets, but not when they're outsmarting me when I'm trying to manage their health.

We had one member whose kitty got to 5.5 units of Levemir. Supposedly on all wet food. Caregiver had several cats, put dry food up high where she thought old man Scooter couldn’t get at it. One day she removed the dry food from all. 36 very scary hairy hours later with a ton of Karo, Scooter was off the insulin. We hear all sort of stories of contraband. I used to have to guard my civvie so he could eat. Neko ate the same food, but wolfed it down and ran over to where he was eating. Then I would nab her and give her the shot. :p
