Doodles 2/4 Increase this morning so hope to see a downward trend soon. There's currently a good game of chase going on and Doodles thinks Moo is his toy this morning  I appreciate everyone's input yesterday on what has happened with Doodles. Let the mystery continue...vet next Tues for dental x-rays & urine testing.

Hope all the kitties and their beans are doing good today.

Morning Karen! :coffee:
I just realized how early this must be for you.....I'm guessing 5:00?
Hoping to see Doodles come down into blue today but he probably won't react that quickly to the increase.
Boomer misses his little buddy!

Shot time is 5:30am/pm :) I've always been a morning person but have problems staying up for his before bed meal so my alarm gets set for that. Right now AZ is 2 hours behind EST but when you move your clocks we go to 3 hours behind.

Work that increase, Doodles! Back when Trix was OnTJ, I used to shoot at 5:45 - the mornings were a bit challenging, but my main objective was to shoot close to when we got home from work in the evening so kitty details were done and over with and we could relax.

Have a great day, Karen!

I've been having the same issues re the before bed meal! We set 8:00 as shot time so to get a +3 I have to stay up to 11:00 and am totally exhausted! But then I spend 15 minutes testing/feeding, preparing the overnight meals, updating spreadsheet and convo, etc and by the time I get to bed I'm wide awake again  I'm thinking of preparing his overnight meals when I do the PMPS test/meal/shot and then testing/feeding at 10:30 so that maybe I can be asleep by 11:00.

Wow, Doodles really is taking you for a ride lately, isn't he? I'm sorry you're have to deal with this. No fun AT ALL. It's funny, too, looking back over his numbers--he had an improvement that was almost as sudden and dramatic as this--um--non-improvement. It isn't something like an impacted anal gland or some other thing that is making him uncomfortable but not enough to show it, is it? I wish I had a sensible thought to offer. Instead, I said what I just did. :(

Really? How would one even think of this. He's been pooping fine.
Because I had dogs and that used to affect one of my girls a lot. One time, it rectified itself (ha! RECTified--a bottom joke!) in the car on the way to Cape Cod, which was a 3 our drive. It nearly killed us. After that, we got wise and looked for it. Nit sure what to look for in a kitty, though.

So I assume, not pooping was a sign in the dog, right?

I had a cat who used to...um...not sure the term is right...but release her anal gland? Sometimes it would even happen if you picked her up. It would always happen when I was trying to brush knots out of her long hair. It was....well disgusting! lol:eek::eek::eek:

Work it Doodles. You have a plan in place, Karen, and answers will come. Anals? Maybe. With my Spike, butt scooting was a clue. Not all cats do that, though. My friend's cat's anal problem was discovered during a routine check. Now he gets butt squeezed every four months or so. Just another item for your check-off list.

We shoot at 5:30/5:30 here, too. I was able to get an am+3 before work back when I was still working. Now? I'm a huge back-to-bed proponent in the morning!

Tick tock, tick tock.... Waiting for the new dose to kick in. Hate that waiting part but at least it's flat yellows. And a great Doodles report on everything else!

Civie Theo does the butt scoot when it's time for his expression (done at the vets, Deborah does Shasta at home for which I have the greatest respect!). His poo doesn't look any different. I had a Persian girl that I would just see pink/inflamed butt but didn't otherwise give signs. Some seem to be chronic, others just an occasional need.

Doodles, as much as Walter enjoys the company up on the trampoline, I bet you that the lagoon is much nicer. Why don't the two of you head there at some point soon???

Vet called as a follow up from Doodles acupuncture last week. Explained the numbers and she's said "ahh, don't worry about it as long as he's eating, pooping, not vomiting, those numbers aren't bad so see you next week"....:blackeye: oh and "wish more moms were like you"....ugh, sigh.....

BTW - this one prefers Vetsulin over Lantus but will let me do what ever

Doodles decided to jump from kitchen chair to chair then around under the table at shot time. After I finally got him, needle & juice went it but he took off running with the needle still in his skin...luckily it fell out after a few steps. What else is this cat going to do :banghead:

Good luck with the dose increase!

When Tobey wasn't feeling well a couple weeks ago and I took him in, his anal glands needed to be expressed. They said it was because he had soft stool and wasn't pushing normal stool out so he just got a little goo in there that he normally wouldn't have. He wasn't acting then like his bottom bothered him. All is great now.
