I'm so discouraged and depressed today.
Eleanor pooped on the area rug, then awhile ago pooped on my robe. She never does this and I know she is trying to tell me she needs help.
I'm trying to be positive about the diarrhea but I'm not doing too well. I'm giving her baby food squash, started her back on Metronidazole, which makes her vomit. I guess I'll have to start Budesonide, which will be another $20 a month and I don't know where that will come from. I'm already choosing between my own health care/meds and food/utilities.

Eleanor's old vet won't prescribe Budesonide without a bunch of tests I cannot pay for. The new vet I took her to, will, but I think he is going to want bloodwork, I talked to the
tech today and she is going to talk to him and call me tomorrow, I cannot speak to him
directly by phone, I also can't get Eleanor in to see him on short notice, or get antibiotics
without him seeing her. At this point there is no way financially that I can run to the vet
with her every time she gets one of her regular URI's or UTI's or skin infections.

I'm feeling really bad again health wise, part of it I'm sure is from stressing over Eleanor.
I feel so bad for her and really don't know what to do anymore.

Sorry about the poops Julie. You're doing everything possible for her. The best medicine for you both is to enjoy the love and companionship as much as possible. I wish there were easy answers for you. Hope the new vet will work with you. Always vines and prayers for you both. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

sorry you and Eleanor are having such a hard time Julie... praying for you both and that it works out with the vet... hoping it gets starts to get better somehow and you start to see a little light at the end of this tunnel :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Just a bad few days folks. You all know how it goes - this darned FD, then the poor cats other illnesses on top of it. Then to top it off, everything else going on in our lives. Sigh.
One day at a time...

Julie, ask that vet tech if they can contact your old vet and get Eleanor's records sent over. That might eliminate the need for some tests. Once he sees that she get URIs and UTIs regularly, he might accept that you know the signs and work with you on meds.
