Ty has not had a proper movement in a good 2/3 days now. There was also no wee overnight which is unusual and odd, especially given his higher BG numbers.

I took him for a monitored walk in the garden
1 -It helps un-stiffen old joints
2-It stimulates the urge to do the necessary.

He did a good wee but the tiny amount of soft poop he produced from a lot of effort was certainly not the product of 2/3 days worth of eating.

Ty is still eating however I feel his eagerness is not at his normal level. Given the BG numbers he should be wanting his food. Not just eating some when it is presented. He isn't doing his little routines either, he is just going back to one of the beds.

I had a dreadful time trying to obtain an ear test this morning. There was just no blood in those ears. Makes me think that something internal may be rumbling or that all blood is needed elsewhere.

Question? :
Does temperature effect BG meters. Too hot or too cold and they through a grouse?

Anyway. Ty and I will be seeing the vet at midday.

To add- I have read the reports , discussion and papers regarding pancreatitis that were sent to me by the vet . I believe he is now leaning towards two weeks of prednisone ( I think) .

Oh, M...vines for Ty feeling more off today and the worry you feel and vines for a good vet visit today. Look forward to your update when you can❤️

When Sootie’s bg ran on the low side for her, I often had a time getting enough blood from her ears. Idk if blood pressure and lower blood glucose had some kind of correlation or if others have experienced it.

:bighug:Vines for you and your sweet gallant Ty:bighug:
❤️

Sending hugs and prayers to you and Ty :bighug: That the vet will have answers and solutions . Come on , Ty, give the Beans a good poo :)

Feeling good vines, and doing a poop dance for Ty. Poor guy, everything's off when there's no poo. Head bumps puss.

Thanks everyone.

Just got back. Ty has been admitted to hospital & I am very relieved about that. He really wasn't very well by the time we got there.

Most likely a rather bad pancreatitis flare that rumbled a little and then went boom. At least there he will get the fluids & the pain relief he needs.
If he comes out the other side OK , then it will be the pred.

Have to go back down there to take his meds & stuff in. I forgot to pack his little case even though my gut saiad he would likely be admitted.

Tiz a two hour round trip depending on the weather and roads.

I’m sorry you have to make the extra trip. I hope they can get him sorted and get him out of pain. So many vines and hugs to you! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you guys.

So much for a lie in with no Ty to see to. I have been awake since blimmin well 4.30am.
It already feel like a long day and it is only 8.40am

Husband has left for the quake city Christchurch for the extended 1st /2nd responders 3 day exercise.
He had to take his waders & his sleeping bag as they are tenting it. In this frosticleness and freeze I hope he comes back with his fingers and toes.

How are you and Ty? Hugs and mega vines:bighug::bighug::bighug:

eta: whoops, just saw yours above that just came through as I posted. Adding more get well soon mantras and get some rest and warm weather vines, too.

Thinking of you and Ty. Hope all goes well and he can come home soon. Good luck to hubby, that does not sound like fun, but very glad there are people training to respond.

Blessings , protection and thanks to your DH :) Thank goodness for first responders who risk their lives for ours . Brave , selfless people supported at home by brave, selfless spouses/family . Thank you to you both :bighug:And prayers that Ty comes home soon :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
