China's doing much better today than last night...she is eating better (still not normally) but better. After offering 4 different flavors of FF (including her very favorite chicken & liver) and having them all pretty much ignored, I opened a can of Wellness I have had sitting around for a long time (when she ate it a couple of times and then buried it) and she ate quite a bit!! I don't know if it's the consistency (it's smoother than the FF) or she's developed some kind of aversion to FF but it's nice seeing her eat a little more

Worry!!...I don't know if it had something to do with the injectable bupe or what was going on last night, but when I went to test her, she acted like she was freaked out about something. It didn't happen just once either, but was going on from about +3 on for the rest of the night. Sometimes she'll be snoozing on the heating vent behind the couch when it's time to test and I have a backscratcher that I'll use to gently "herd" her out from behind the couch (we've done this for a long time) but last night she was running from me. She just really wasn't acting like China at all

Does anyone know if the injectable bupe is the same stuff as the oral, just with a syringe attached? If it is, I may try taking the syringe off and just giving it orally tonight and see if there's some difference in the way it works in her body that contradicts using it in the injectable form

Haven't tried the ondansetron yet since she's been eating better so far today. Don't want to add any more variables unless I have to

Happy to hear China is eating a little better today! Having tooth issues isn't fun at all, I really feel for her. I hope she is able to get some relief from the pain until you can get her in to have the tooth removed.
 
I don't know if you read my condo the day it happened but after Max's dental when he was on bupe I grabbed him for a test and he growled and made horrible noises. I was actually scared. I told my vet about it because at the time I thought Max might be going hypo but he wasn't. My vet said it was likely the bupe.
 
Years ago my Spikey was on injectable bupe. It made him very loopy. Not at all like his usual where's-my-mama-I-got-to-sit-on-her-lap kind of boy. We needed it for only three days and he, if I remember correctly, could get several doses a day. At least five years ago, though. Could be fuzzy myself.

She's taken it orally before without the strange behavior, so I'm not sure if it's just because it was injected or if there was some other reason for her really crazy behavior last night. She seemed freaked out about everything

Today she's back to laying next to mama....which is great, especially when she's riding that 50 line so close because I can check on her all the time without necessarily having to continually poke!

Since they only gave me 3 syringes and she doesn't go in until Friday, I can only give it once a day. The bupe they sent home with her dental is over a year old (I still have 2 syringes of it) and she took that twice/day without the changes in her behavior
 
Maybe the dose was higher on the injectible bupe you gave than what she's received before. I think too much bupe can make kitties do crazy things. I would rather give oral bupe so I can adjust the dose as needed. I'm glad China is eating better today.
