Been working more hrs and different shifts at work, charlie is doing well, we upped his dose yesterday pm cycle to 2.25.

Lola is having eating issues, brought her to vet yesterday gave fluids, cerenia shot, b12 shot and mirtz, the mirtz HSS not had same affect as last time, she licks the sauce off the food and that's about it.
If still not eating by work time +6, going to make an appointment at regular vet, had to use a different one yesterday, mine was booked.

SS is updated

Good Morning Darin:coffee::coffee:
FWIW I have been told that Dr.A is only there on Wed. & Fridays. Wed. they don't take appts. o Wed.because they only do surgeries. So, that leaves Dr. A only on Fridays. Dr. P is there on Tues , Thurs. & Sat., and she seems to be pretty good, although I have only seen her once. They have opened up another Cat hospital elswhere(I think orange county) and Dr. A is over there trying to get scheduling under control.
Glad Charlie is doing better, and I hope Lola feels better.
Paula :)

I'm glad Charlie is doing well.

It sound like Lola might have chronic pancreatitis since this comes and goes. If she were my cat I would get cerenia and ondansetron to give at home as she is exhibiting classic signs of nausea. I would also ask for a script for cyproheptadine as it might work better for her. You don't want to give an appy stimulant to a nauseous cat as they can develop food aversions. Having the meds at home and stating them when she is off might help avoid the need for vet visits and keep her more even. Of course you need to find out from a vet if that is the problem first. I hope she feels better.

Well on Tues morning I wanted to use up the can of mc I feed Charlie to raise his sugars, so I added a bit to her meal she puked, then stopped eating

Cypro has worked for both cats I've tried it on. Max just needs a tiny sliver, like 1/8 a 4mg pill. It's a cheap drug too but human. I last got 30 for about $7 at the pharmacy at Ralphs grocery . Just did a search on Good RX and it's now $10.22.

I will not be taking any of my cats to the alt vet I went to Tuesdays morning, the prescribed mirtazipine @ 1/4 every 12hrs which my normal vet said is way, way, way to much, then they prescribed cerenia 15mg everyday, my normal vet should not be more then a 1/4 pill.
Just got back from my normal vet they have added metronidazole.
They gave her a liquid dose of the metro at the vets, I tried to feed her when we got home and she ate her whole meal.

When I get a dodgy vet like that I tend to send them a letter telling them where they went wrong and why I won't be back in the hope that causes them to look into whatever it was they did/didn't do and improve in the future - I don't know how often (if ever) it works but at least I know I tried.

Yay for Lola eating :)

Is your normal vet Dr. A? And is your Alt vet Dr. P?
Glad Lola is better and ate her whole meal. Are we still going to the same vet
I thought or so Iwas told that Dr. A was there on Fridays.

It was my 2nd alternative vet location,my main and my back up were booked, I'm probably going to call tomorrow and tryvti speak to someone in charge, I had even said something to the vet tech when she told me to dose the mirtz every 12hrs, she said no its OK your cat has not eaten, I said the dose should be 48-72hrs and she did not say anything.
