(no students today...teacher work day!!!!! I'm not complaining about having a teacher work day, but tell me the logic...a day off one week before spring break?!?!?!?!?!?!) wth?
WCR: All Ps in place. Got some snuggles at bedtime last night. Appy is a bit iffy this morning. I've been bowl holding, sweet talkin', following her around and I'm not far from adding in something yummy and slightly higher in carbs just to get her to eat more. She has an itchy ear and watery eyes...it's like we're twins. Oh, and my black car is yellow...with pollen...lots of pollen.
I need to call my vet this morning because her heart meds should have been refilled by now (called Monday for a compound refill), but have not heard from the pharmacy yet. She hasn't had it in almost 3 weeks.
It drives me nuts because the expiration date is only about 2 weeks after I get it and there is so much left in the bottle. I keep using it, even after the expiration date, until Shasta turns her nose up to it. Then, I assume, it doesn't taste good anymore.
Update on Pixie: Susan picked up some baby fuds and said that Pixie likes them!!!
She likes them even more when my mom feeds her and holds her plate. Susan thinks it's because mom is "low" anxiety; whereas Susan is "high" anxiety with high expectations. I understand every emotion she is going through. Her regular vet is back tomorrow and she has an appointment scheduled for 3:30pm - CST. I told her that they better run more blood work...full panel, like they SHOULD HAVE DONE last Friday.
Not to mention, I'd like to know what her numbers are a week after having daily sub-q fluids...200mL a day?! She's still not walking which concerns me lots. I sent my sister the "Potassium imbalance" page from Tanya's site. Don't know if it is a Potassium problem only, but I hope she asks lots of questions today and I hope her regular vet is better than the fill-in lady she's been dealing with all week. Fingers and paws crossed.
Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

I break them in half and use a piller along with syringing water before and after. We have to get the potassium checked again to see if the dose is right.
Susan needed one last night to snuggle and say goodbye (kids needed to say goodbye, too.) Please keep them in your prayers. My heart hurts so bad for my sister.
