Hello LL!!

Last condo: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/...e-ibd-or-lymphoma-small-mass-in-liver.134480/

Sorry for the super belated post today! I was in and out catching up on some errands and then went to DBF's brothers house for dinner. @tiffmaxee , thanks for checking in on us.

Billie is doing well today! Her appy was slow this morning but has been great tonight. She is still loving the FF. She slept a lot earlier, but she is probably still exhausted from Thursday's ordeal. She gave me some nice cuddles this afternoon, and she woke me up this morning a few minutes before my alarm was set to go off - she always knows! She is hanging out on her favorite bookshelf relaxing right now.

The vet called this afternoon (how nice of her to call even though it's the weekend!) with BW results, and she said that Billie's B12 and folate levels are normal!! That is awesome awesome news. It doesn't completely rule out IBD or lymphoma, but from what I have heard/read, about 70% of IBD and/or lymphoma cats have low B12 levels, so normal results are a really good sign. She said that at this point, she recommends keeping an eye on Billie's appetite, weight, and mood. She doesn't feel that there is enough evidence to warrant something as invasive as a surgical biopsy. I trust her expertise and judgment. I will be keeping a close eye on Billie as always, especially on appy patrol.

She said she is brainstorming other things that could be causing the appy issues and weight loss. She said that it's possible for Flovent to cause a reduced appetite. I have to see if any kitties on the Yahoo Inhaled Meds group have experienced that. Or, Billie's food allergies could be flaring up and she could be reacting to her no longer novel proteins. The constipation could be a factor too. The IBD/lymphoma subject is not off the table, but the other possibilities would be so great in comparison.

Thank you all so much for your support over the past few days!!! It has been scary, but it would have been so much scarier without your help. :bighug::bighug::bighug: I hope everyone is having a good night.

I'm glad to read this and that you have found a vet that you trust to help figure out Billie's issues.

Whew Deanna- I have been so out of it, I didn't realize you were having US done or exactly what was going on, I'm so sorry! But what a huge relief to get this report! :bighug:

I took Flovent for a year(I have asthma too) and never experienced appetite losss(I wish!) but everybody is different! By chance is Billie still taking pred? or any other drug or supplements?
