Good morning LL!

UPS brought the insulin too late last night to actual shoot him, so it's sitting in my fridge right now. Last night, at his PMBG I planned on giving him .1u this morning but he dropped on his own at +3 to 78.

@Chris & China thank you for the feedback on his last condo. This morning he's still in the green at 71. Shooting in the 80s dropped him into the 50s so I'm going to skip this one and see where we end up this evening since I will be gone all day for work.

I set out the autofeeder to give him some more food at +4 and +8. I'm hoping that helps. I would love to see Clyde have normal BG this evening.

I'm keeping everything crossed that he will have close to normal BG tonight. I'm debating on what the best course of action will be for tonight. If he's green or almost green, I'm leaning towards skipping again and seeing what happens. I'm cautiously optimistic that this may be the start of some good news.

Clyde was at 114 for a PMBG. He didn't touch any of the food that the autofeeder presented at +4 or +8. I had split his AM meal into three parts and he only ate the 6am bit. The 6am food was completely gone by the time I left for work.

Even now, he walked out to the food gave it a sniff and then walked back into the spare bedroom. I will check to see if he eats in a bit and retest in the +2-+3 range and see where it goes. I'm hoping it drops into the greens with some food in him.

@julie & punkin (ga) thank you again. I just did a +2.5 spot check and he's down to 87. It looks like he ate a little bit but not much.

I hope that it is only him grieving for Max. I don't think I could handle taking him to the vet's office this week for something more serious.

Since his appetite seems off, with everything that has happened, do you think I should hold off the insulin while his PS numbers are in a normal range? I'm concerned that lack of food and even a .1u shot of insulin may be too much.

i agree with Serryn. The ideal for starting an OTJ trial is when the spreadsheet is basically all green. But you're down to a tiny amount and he's not eating.

I wouldn't call it an OTJ trial - i'd just wait for now and see what happens when his appy picks up again.

Another thought, in addition to grief, is that with the lower BGs, the appetite may not be as strong. The hormone levels in the body are more normal, so it's not like you're seeing the hungries. But it's important that SOME food is eaten. If that's not the case, I'd talk to the vet and see if you need to go in. Great numbers either way.
