Of course today would have been a good day for her to be a little higher since I have to take DM to see a new cardiologist and her appointment isn't until +9.5 and we have to leave by +8 or so

I just hope we make it home in time for PMPS!!

What a good girl!! At least I hope she was a good girl and didn't drop any lower while I was gone!

I'm hoping that +1 is just a big food spike and not the beginning of a bounce, but I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Was quite the visit at the cardiologists office....found out a lot of stuff we didn't know, like that mom's pacemaker should have been checked every 3 months! The records they got from her old doctor didn't even have that she HAD a pacemaker in them!!

They had to go through 3 machines before they found one that worked because we didn't know what brand of pacemaker she had....and she was also supposed to have an ID card to carry!

The worst news was that her ejection fraction, which had been 70 in 2011 (65 is normal, so hers was even better!) has decreased to 11%, so a lot less blood is being pumped. He wants to look at the CD of the actual echo she had in January, not just read the report before he goes any further, so we go back in a month

China baby...mama's tired tonight...you think you could just continue being a good kitty awhile longer??

The cardio results are so familiar. My mom had a procedure that was in the experimental stages but I believe now cleared where clips were inserted in the valve. It worked really well for a few years and is still helping but she is leaking again. She wasn't then and isn't now a candidate for replacement. Scary stuff I know but something you might want to investigate. You can google MitraValve study , Saibal Kar if you are interested.
