Yesterday's Condo

Nothing like a nice, leisurely swim on a beautiful Spring Saturday...:D:D:D Cinco is just cruisin' along, making his mamabean very happy! :woot:

Harvey has been a total butthead (pardon the French, but it's appropriate) this morning. He will not let me get within three feet of him, as he knows I'm going to put him in the sack and pill him! If I could just get it through his thick head that all he needs to do to avoid that is to eat the darned pill pockets!! :banghead::banghead::banghead: I finally had to play dirty and open a jar of baby food - falls for it every time! Of course, I needed the baby food anyway for Sasha's and Minka's vitamin treat, so that worked out. I let him get a lick or two before I snagged him. Don't worry, he got his share when we were done. I actually got both gelcaps into him on the first try for each! A new record, I think!

Minka did not want to eat this morning, rejecting two flavors. I finally opened a can of what worked yesterday - FF Fish & Shrimp Feast - and that did the trick. She's currently licking the air above her baby food treat.

Sasha was much more cooperative and ate 95% of her breakfast. I didn't get around to the cookies, so I'll have to do that soon. She is happily polishing off her baby food treat, vitamin powder and all. :)

I've been a bump on a log this morning - other than chasing cats around, trying to get them to eat or to catch them for pilling, and testing Cinco, of course. The Xfinity Series race is on, and I've already missed the first 15 minutes or so, so I guess I'd better get a move on and find the remote!

I hope everyone is having a nice, relaxing Saturday.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans, especially Doodle (Jennifer F) and Tess (Ann & John). :bighug:Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Lisa's DF, Chris' DM, Marje's DM and Elise's DM

Hi Tricia,
I love to read your pilling adventures! You are so expert:cool:. Nice surfing, Cinco. The LagoonMeister hopes to join you before long.

Enjoy the races, Tricia. Work that remote!

Go Cinco!! I didn't recognize you! Nice pic :D:D Boy Tricia, I have to say, you are the Cat-Master! I admire your tenacity-I cannot imagine putting a cat into one of those catsacks and pilling them! You call that relaxing??! Sending appy and healing vines for Minka and Sasha- eat your fuds little girls- C'mon! :bighug:

What a great cycle Cinco!! You're making your mamabean very happy!!

Minko and Sasha seem to have worked out some kind of pattern lately....one day one of them eats well and the next day it's the other one...Keeps you on your toes!...although I'm betting you'd be thrilled to walk flat footed for awhile.....LOL

Sounds like Harvey has the game figured out....but at least you're still one step ahead!

If anyone deserves a little "bump on a log" time, it's you Tricia!

Nice surf for Cinco today. :D I'm glad Minka finally ate for you and Sasha ate pretty good. Good thing you've still got tricks to catch Harvey. I wish we could explain they need their meds and they'd take them. Enjoy the race.

Thanks for visiting, Ella, Marilyn, Ruth, Chris, Linda, Serryn and Carla.

The race was reasonably entertaining, but I hope Sunday's is better. Cinco gave me a nice high blue at PMPS, but Chicken Mama loaded Otto with 8% anyway, so no surprise he was in mid blues when we got home from dinner and cards in Sacramento. Of course, he could have snuck down to the lagoon, but I kind of doubt it. I think he was hanging out on shore with Polly and Max. Otto was spotless when we got home, of course! :joyful:

Minka did not want her dinner before we left, and the plate was still full when we got home. :( I tried two flavors of cat food and she turned both down. We did her fluids, and then she ate almost half of the second flavor I had offered. Then her daddybean cut up some tri tip for her! She took care of that! I think we are setting a dangerous precedent here, but whatever it takes!

Sasha only ate about a third of her dinner, but when I offered the alternative flavor after we got home, she was more interested. There goes Chris' theory of the girls taking turns - both were super fussy tonight!

Harvey, meanwhile was going nuts about the tri tip. He got a few bites and at one point I caught him on the back of the sofa, practically standing on Minka to get to her plate! I don't know how much he swiped, so I cut up some more for her. As long as she keeps eating, I'll keep cutting. If we have to hit Costco after the Cup race for some more meat, so be it.

Serryn, I won't be buying a lottery ticket today. I had a bad night at cards - lost $13! Mark was down 50 cents, and then he won the last round so ended up $3.50 ahead. Glad to be home safely and have all kitties fed and medicated. It takes me a while to wind down, so hopefully I can head up to bed soon. Thankfully the Cup race is in this time zone, so it doesn't start until noon. Of course, I still have to get up to test around +3 or +4. Mark hit the hay as soon as he finished cutting the tri tip and, knowing him, was asleep before his head hit the pillow. Wish I could do that.
