Skooter Annual Physical Condo 3/20

I am enjoying these numbers that Skooter is giving. THIS is the Skooter I am used to!

Today is hopefully gonna be filled with getting more purging done around my house and of course my personal training session. I am hoping for a weekend filled with no plans and just chillaxin' :)

Happy Caturday to everyone!

Nice start to the day Skooter!
Oh today( if Jack co-operates) will be clean out the garage day for us. Getting all the winter things changed around and sharpening the spring and summer tools. just tiding up in general. Purging would be a great idea to! :) Somehow my two car garage has become a one with all the things in it.

So I just ordered a scale to weigh Skooter on. It should arrive next week.

How often should I be weighing him and at what point do I get concerned about his weight? (ie he loses a 1/2 pound, pound, etc)....

I weigh Furball once a week. I learned it can drive you crazy if you weigh every day. I don't worry about Furball's weight being off a few ounces because it can vary if I weigh her before or after she eats. I just try to make sure she is consistently about the same weight each week. I think you would need to be concerned if Skooter started losing weight every time you weigh him. His weight will most likely vary like Furball's does a little bit each week.

By the way, there are no stupid questions. Always ask if you're concerned about something. Nice numbers for Skooter today. :D

Great idea to weigh once a week. I try to do that with my cats, but since Cinco's weight is pretty stable (anti-jinx), I only weigh him once a month. Try to weigh around the same time each week, so you have as many variables the same (when they last ate, etc.). As Carla said, don't let small gains or losses upset you - their weight changes just like our does (although some of our changes more in one direction ). What you want to watch for is a pattern of weight loss, or even weight gain. Large drops are something to watch for, too.

I'm glad to see that Skooter and Cinco are hanging out in the lagoon again. Cinco has missed playing with his pal! :D

Did you get the Salter scale? That's the one I have. Good cycles lately for Skooter, (anti-jinx).:):D

I'm too scared to weigh Rusty more than once a month (don't like to see bad news)! You have good advice here about a weekly weighing. You can write down the weight in the comments column of your SS. I always put the "weigh day" text color in red so that I can go back and easily see what the last weight was.

Enjoy the weekend.

Ella & Rusty
