Yesterday's Surfin' Safari

I know I have a policy of no complaining about lagoon visits, but really, Cinco? Must you jolt Mama awake like that??

I have the feeling I am going to have to force myself to get out of bed around +2 in the morning and give him some food to slow him down a little. Sneaky little bugger. I know he's doing this on purpose! He did come up quite easily with just a snack of 3%. Hopefully now he'll give me another lovely surf. Pretty please? :D

Minka was hungry this morning! I usually put Harvey's food down first because he is circling my legs like a shark as I prepare everyone's meal. He wolfs down about half and then usually walks away for a mid-meal bath. This morning, as I was fixing Minka's I looked down and she was eating Harvey's leftovers! She didn't eat a lot, but enough to make me see she was willing to eat. I set her plate down next to his, and she took one bite and returned to Harvey's! It's the exact same stuff, except he has Cosequin in his!

Then she walked over to Cinco's plate and found a small crumb left to eat. I had given him something I didn't think she'd eat, so I gave her a spoonful of it, and she ate it. o_O Cannot figure this girl out! She didn't eat a lot of anything, but enough I felt comfortable giving her all her morning meds. I slipped in a sliver of Cypro to see if I could keep her eating.

Sasha only ate a little breakfast, so I gave her 1 mg of Ondansetron and 1/4 tablet of Cypro. It seemed to help when I did it yesterday, only I gave her Cerenia. I want to see if the Ond helps, too. Paws crossed. Both girls were eating snacks right up until I went to bet at 3:00 am. I don't mind continuing to feed them as long as I'm awake, if they're willing to eat. We'll see how we're doing when I weigh them Wednesday (I've had to fight to keep myself from weighing them early).

Another beautiful spring day here in Northern California. We got some nice rain last night, but it was all gone and skies were clear and blue this morning.

Ooooh! Minka just came in and is eating the leftovers from Harvey's seconds! :):):)

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug:Prayers continue for Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Lisa's DF, Chris' DM, Marje's DM and Elise's DM, with extra strong vines and prayers for Amy's DF.

Hi Tricia! Cinco seems to specialize in morning eye openers for you:p. Looks like Cinco is giving you permission for a nap, maybe:joyful:.

It's good to see Minka stealing some fuds. Nothing like keeping her mama guessing:rolleyes:. I hope that Sasha will copy her lead. It's so hard when they won't eat, I know. Many hugs and anti-stress vines for you, you do such a good job!:bighug::bighug::bighug:. I'd have trouble not weighing them too...

I hope you're having a great day!

Cinco....what are we going to do with you?? Scaring mamabean like that! Of course I bet I know who put you up to it....LOL

WOO HOO on Minka's good appy!! I know that has to put a smile on your face! Hopefully Sasha's appy will pick up as the meds kick in

I'll talk to China about not leading Cinco astray tonight, but...well...you know how well she listens to me!

Hope for a quite night so you can get out and enjoy your munchies at the bowling alley!

What a wake up call from Cinco. I'm glad he's surfing safely for you. How great that Minka is eating. I hope Sasha eats too.

What a day! Congrats to Minka for eating so well. Cinco, you are keeping mamabean on her toes, alright! Keep it safe, mister!

Have a good evening, Tricia. Is tonight your bowling night? Have fun!

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Thanks for stopping by, Rachel (:bighug:), Chris, Carla, Ella, Elise, Deanna and Linda.

Looks like Cinco was a good boy and hung out on the blue floor all evening. Otto was empty, as usual, when we got home, but that didn't stop him from eating his late dinner! Now I need him to be cooperative this week. I have to go to Sacramento each of the next three days for several hours. Tomorrow I'll be leaving around +5, so I should know by then if he's headed for the lagoon (or already in it). Fortunately, DH will be working from home, so I can have him test if necessary. I'm not sure about DH's schedule Wednesday, but that's Minka's chemo, so I can always just drop her off and come back home, being gone only about 90 minutes or so. I am really good at worrying in advance!

Minka ate the second offering, while getting her fluids. I'm a little nervous about having to do fluids by myself this weekend while my DH is gone. I've done Cinco on my own, but not Minka. I'm hoping that not having her daddybean to hold her in his lap will not affect her cooperation. Time to worry about that on Friday. Meanwhile, all went well tonight.

Sasha ate about half of her late dinner. Her allergies/asthma are really acting up. I took her into the guest bathroom with the humidifier and the shower going for about 20 minutes this afternoon. Not sure if it helped. I'm toying with the idea of giving her a Zyrtec. I did give her a small bit of Cypro this morning, and since it's an antihistamine, I was hoping it would make her feel better, but I didn't notice a difference. It did make her eat better, though. :)

Harvey is currently avoiding me, since he knows he hasn't had his nightly pills yet. I'll get him eventually.

I got my fill of pretzel bites and for once managed to share enough of them that I didn't come home miserably stuffed! You would think a woman my age would know when to stop, but I really am a compulsive eater.

Little bit o an evening bounce, but overall a lovely day for Cinco! I'm glad the girls ate well for you yesterday...I hope it continues into today. Yay for garlic pretzel bites!!
