He's headed in the wrong direction. If the bounce doesn't break tonight, I'll have to consider taking him back up to 11 units (or maybe 10.5) tomorrow morning.

I don't know what's going on... What is he bouncing from? This morning's dose was NOT a fur shot. The fur wasn't wet and there was no insulin smell. I'm tempted to give some R but I don't want to prolong the bounce... Feels like we're always taking one step forward and two steps back.

You could always give a little bit of R, maybe 0.5U, just to take the edge off.

It could be that he's failed the reduction, or it was too big a reduction. It does look like his numbers are drifting up. But since it's only the 5th cycle after the lows, I would be patient and wait the full 6 cycles to make sure the bounce is gone. It could also be a high before going low. Hmm, maybe that's an argument against giving R, in case he breaks tonight.

It does seem Chino goes 2-3 days in bounce mode after a green night. You have more patience with R than I do!

Only because I saw how it was prolonging the bounces. He was no longer reaching good ranges on Lantus alone at night. But I might start using it again to keep him under 400. It's a tough decision... It seems like I can either give him 3-4 hours in the 200s each day with R, or 4-8 hours in greens, blues, and yellows every other night without it.

PMPS = 427 (3rd meal)
[10 units Lantus]
+2 = 309 (treat: 1 small pc freeze-dried chicken)
+4 = 208 (4th meal)
+5 = 119 (2 tsp LC 2%)
+5.5 = 105 (treat)
