Trix is feeling OK....she's definitely not 100%, but she is also better than she was on Friday. Appy is having it's ups and downs - it seems better in the morning and in the late evening, but early evening is a tad iffy. Of course I was gone for 11 hours yesterday, so I wasn't here for first dinner - therefore I am missing my own personal observations. But she definitely seemed a bit off for a while after I got home. I'll be gone for the same amount of time today, too.
This morning was pretty "normal"....snuggles, waited for me outside the bathroom, waited for me RIGHT outside the door to the room I prep their meals in. She had a decent first breffis, but I did do a syringe a little while ago, just for some "guaranteed" calories since I'll be gone all day again. DH will make sure she eats, but he's never done a syringe so I wanted to be a bit ahead of the game in case she doesn't eat well for him. I offered her a plate of Fancy Feast after the syringe, and she did do pretty well with that, so hopefully she'll be a good eater for DH to day.
She is doing normal Trix stuff....good stretches, looking for adventure, and I saw her "sharpening her claws" (her previous owners declawed her
) on one of the scratching pads. But she also seems very gingerly with her actions. Her numbers are still great, which oddly is a red flag for me...these awesome greens are consistent with my thoughts of a p-titis flare. Not a bad one, since she is eating and looking OK, but she's definitely a bit off. Trix does like to do the opposite of most kitties....stress and not feeling well often gives her BETTER numbers.
Anyway...I am thoroughly exhausted but have another long day ahead and it's time to hit the road. Have a great day, L&LL!

PS... I was really wiped out last night but I did talk to my folks real briefly. My Dad was sounding pretty good. He even got on the phone and started talking about a new little business venture he and I are cooking up! It was an idea that started before the pneumonia hit, and he hasn't had the motivation or energy to talk about it in weeks. It was GREAT to hear him talking about it again last night!
