I really am at my wits end with this cat. She is refusing everything we offer. I can't afford to open 17 cans to find something she will only eat 3 bites of. She hates cheap food, expensive food, chicken, turkey, fish, beef, raw....which leaves nothing. She is not sick, just refuses everything we have. So tonight we are skipping. She also is only eating twice a day, well if she even eats. UGH I am ready to chuck her out the window.

aw, how frustrating. Are you thinking she's just being picky? Could her mouth hurt? I think I'd try a vet and get her mouth looked at if you can.

She also hates bonita flakes... She is just uber picky. Smells bother her a lot. I scrounged around my kitchen and found a can of tuna so she was shot an hour and a half late but I can deal with that.

I haven't ever bought freeze dried meats, but a lot of people use freeze dried chicken, and it can be crumbled to top other food.

She hasn't always been this picky, has she?

She does this off and on. Smells really bother her and I think she judges things by that. Her brother and Olivia aren't picky and will eat all the things she won't. I am running out of foods to feed her right now.

Oh, I have a bag of dried chicken and....yep, she won't touch them.

I'm sorry Suzi is being picky. Have you tried meat only baby food? I hope you can figure something out.

When you say "smells bother her," it does make me think she's nauseated even if she isn't vomiting. Finicky-ness is one thing but not eating on this level is s red flag to me ( been there, done that, learned the hard wa). I would take her to the vet for a once-over and blood work.

Maybe it's not so much that smells bother her. I just know she sniffs everything a lot, sniff us when we touch her and then has to clean herself. If we smell weird we can't touch her. She is smell sensitive?....I don't know. I am going to make sure I don't use her bowls twice, clean them out every single time instead of every couple times. She is eating this morning just fine. I did find a can of tuna she ate fine last night, but I know she can't rely on that.

She did start coughing last night so she may be due for her asthma shot so I will have the vet check her mouth.

Vines for a good appy! I hope you can find out what is bothering Snickers. Maybe try a smaller bowl? If she has low appetite, a lot of food might seem overwhelming to her.
