Trix seems to be back to her old spunky, feisty self, along with a very happy appy (anti-jinx). We had a very ugly morning with the gelcap, though....4 re-packs and 45 minutes of trying before it went down. Most of the time it is a godsend, but on days like today, I hate that f-ing gelcap.

My Dad's doc visit yesterday wasn't so great. He IS feeling better, but not 100%. But last week's CT scan of his lungs show "inflammation", which the oncologist now thinks is being caused by the chemo - and that maybe he never had pneumonia to begin with. If that's the case, then treatment with the current protocol has to stop. We're meeting with a pulmonary doc on Friday, and the local oncologist wants us to go back to Penn to see of that doc has any ideas about how to move forward. We'll have more info after Friday - his oncologist isn't completely sure that the chemo is the problem, which is why we're seeing yet another specialist.

This really sucks, because my Dad has been responding extremely well to this protocol with minimal side effects (until now - if what is going on is, in fact, a side effect), plus we are used to the routine of this protocol. There really aren't many options for the type of cancer he has. One way or another, cancer always yanks the rug right out from under you.

So the stress and distraction continues....

Sending tons and tons and tons of vines out to sweet little Milo....wake up, little boy!

Have a great day, L&LL....

Amy

So glad Trixie is back to her spunky self. Ugh on the gelcap. That is so frustrating.

Oh Amy. I am so very sorry about your dad. Know that we are sending lots of healing vines, prayers, and hugs your way. ((((AMY))))

I'm glad Trixie is feeling so good. Sorry about the gelcap. How frustrating with your dad. I hope you get some answers soon. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug:

Morning Amy :coffee::coffee::coffee:

A nice start for Trixie. Bummer on the gelcap. Well hope the next one goes better, I am sure it will. :)

My best wishes for your dad, and I hope they can isolate the lung problem, and get things back on track. It is all so difficult. Vines for your dad, hugs for you.

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.

Do you think Trixie had a little p-titis flare? That gelcap. :mad: So glad to hear she's feeling better today. :) Many vines for DF and you and DM.
Liz

Trixie, just because you are showing Mama such pretty numbers does not mean you should be so difficult about the gelcap. Mama has so much on her mind right now. Please be a good girl and swallow that pill!

I'm sure you are just beside yourself with the uncertainty and worry about your DF. Try to take some deep breaths and don't borrow trouble. Lots of prayers and vines coming your way, and his! :bighug:
