Morning all,
Hugs and vines to all those in need:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Day 8 snack experiment

Well the snack experiment continues with a little help from George, I think he must have seen that I questioned if it was just a coincidence that we got lower PMBG after a larger snack, so he decided to deprive himself from his pm+9 snack last night just to show me how important it was, it was still in the autofeeder this morning (giving him that 1 hour window was a good idea, thanks Wendy) I felt him get out of bed at about +11 and heard him check the autofeeder out for snacks, then he came BTB for some snuggles till it was time for his AMBG, he was definitely peckish as he kept biffing me on my forehead:rolleyes:
Hopefully he will learn to get to his snack earlier, but at least there's a reason for the blue ambg and confirms the positive effect of the +9 snack.

We will be getting a +3 this morning to confirm that he comes down. Silly cat he earned himself another poke.

Surf safely kitties

Happy Day 9! At least you have an answer on the +9 fuds.

Okay George. You have confirmed Mom's food experiment, good job! Guess you are feeling quite satiated without the insulin, eh?

Talking about Satiated, he's not the usual 'Starving, I'll do anything for food' cat that he has been for a long time, since his regulation and his regular meals he's much less prone to sharking for food whenever we sit down to eat. Don't get me wrong he is still the same food motivated BFG, and he will come trotting through at the rattle of his treat box, it's just that he is not starving all the time. Before diagnosis even my breakfast toast with blueberry jam wasn't safe if left on the kitchen table:eek: he's become a bit more selective on what he munches on now;)

So there's hope for us!

I thought it would inspire you,;) , there's hope for your duvet yet LOL

If you'd told me that BFG would become less food obsessed, I wouldn't have believed you. Makes me wonder though how long his BG had been an issue:( The Cr*** Stupid Rx diet probably didn't help. (I know I should let it go, but I can't help but feel cross)

I wonder too how long he was actually in high numbers. I thought I was feeding him well. It was well in the sense of cost but in retrospect I should have known that cats do not need pea protein. :banghead:

I am afraid this is Rosie's work. She leaves her PM+9 food now, even though I put the autofeeder right by her bed! I go in there at +9 to find it open, Contessa Rosalinda sitting up and looking around and the food not touched. When I serve it in bed, she acts as if she has been waiting for me all her life. Grrrrrrr! I think she is coaching George.

Go George! Go George! Go George! Go George! Go George! Go George! Go George! Go George! Go George!

Don't forget, it's in bold print in the cat manual that kitty must keep the bean confused and frustrated at all times. :p;) George, I'm sure there's something in there, too, though of balancing your own needs for fuds with the need to mess with the bean. Think about it. Around +9.

And see what all they can train the bean to do for them. Since BFG has already successfully trained his beans to get an autofeeder and feed a bigger +9 snack, he's probably now trying to get them to feed him with a fork... or in bed... or both...

Congrats on day 9! Sorry that George just won't give up that idea of you getting up in the middle of the night. Maybe you need to change the recording.
