Yesterday...

I slept through my +8 alarm and missed my 2nd dose along with the BG check. Planning to take it after feeding them today at +4. I don't even want to think about how low his BG must've gone last night in order to catapult him to 388 by morning.

I don't think he went "too low" last night. He may just be a little bouncy from the early shots. Some times Doodles would give me wacky wobbly bounces and the 3rd cycle was often one of the worst. Hopefully Chino will come back down slowly today.

ETA: Just the drop from 425 to yellow in 2 hours is enough to trigger another little bounce.

Some kitties bounce worse from fast drops than lower numbers. Have you thought about an autofeeder set for +7-8 at night in case you miss the alarm? It can be a good safety net.
