She was so hungry all last night, drank a lot of water, peed a lot. Standard high sugar Alice.

Today's question: will feeding 0% carb items interfere with BGL? During what should be or would otherwise be a fasting period? She's the skinny cat that needs the food and I hate seeing her so ravenous.

Not sure why you mean by fasting period? It is better to feed the majority of carbs before nadir. Feeding carbs after that, when the insulin action is naturally slowing down, can slam the brakes on insulin action and cause numbers to zoom up at the end of the cycle. After nadir, I tried to feed just very low carb snacks.

Gotten any ketones tests in lately?

+2 was 313

Fasting period meaning for example, will a zero carb freeze dried meat treat interfere somehow with her PS numbers if she has any within the two hours before.

Still haven't caught a pee. She's pretty chipper, weight is 2.4kg, still either maintaining (if you subtract possible food/water weight), or it is a gain. Healthy bowel movement last night sometime with rich color, good fecal score.

What is considered "very low carb" here? Her primary wet foods are 4% (friskies) and 2% (FF) and I have extra human grade 0% freeze dried chicken I mix with warm water for her sometimes, besides the pure bites treats and bonito.

What is very low carb here depends on how carb sensitive your cat is. Jill’s Alex got a numbers bump from freeze dried chicken, she was very sensitive. You could try zero or one percent, and observe what happens with Alice.

Not to hijack the thread just wanna say thanks, both these posts are very helpful for me right now :)
