I had a feeling his numbers were up again. I have my alarm set to get me up at 6:20 to do testing and AMPS at 6:30 and he was zooming around the room knocking stuff off my nightstand and dresser to get me up for breakfast at 6 am. I'm starting to notice that when he is belligerently (destructive) hyper, his numbers seem to be higher.

Since hes so high, I feel comfortable trying breakfast today being no prescription, did a mix of Fancy Feast and BFF, since I will be here all morning to monitor. Will probably try and get a +3, but I might just go for a +6 if nothing is worrisome since tomorrow I want to do a curve and his tolerance for lots of pokes is still building so I'd rather not waste his generosity with testing today when I will need it tomorrow unless I need to.

Let's hope this is the end of that rubbish prescription food!!! Big sale today on BFF at our local mom and pop store (15% off all cat food in honor of their store cats birthday) so I am gonna go and stock up like crazy probably.
 
After breakfast (I haven't seen those bowls so clean in over a year, they literally licked them shiny clean) he was still zooming around the house for about 20 minutes, then came in and snuggled and snoozed with me until about +4 when BF made me breakfast. Since hes was squinting weird and so snoozy I decided to grab a quick test at +4.5 and then I felt like a dummy because BF pointed out he was laying in a sunbeam and only squinting when he was looking at the window...:banghead:

Coming down, but not crashing. Think when I give him the +6 meal its gonna be FF and BFF again since he seems to be tolerating the less carbs well. We leave for our event at +8 so that will give me some time to watch him, then I will be coming back for PM shot and meal.
 
Was super worried since errands took longer so I didn't get home to give them the midday meal until +7.5. Totally had this mental image of a poor lethargic Gizmo hypo-ing out alone because I took too long shopping only to come home to him just sitting there looking at me like "oh, you're home?"

And better numbers! Yellow again :)

He quickly forgave me when he saw what the errands were for though..

(Should be set for about 2 months now, and thanks to sales and my ex husband being nice and using his Walmart employee discount for me I saved about 40%!)

Chewy.com is wonderful and delivers to your front door. Including litter. It is a grest time (and money) saver for me.
 
I use chewy most of the time, since we also have lots of other pets (3 snakes, an Uromastyx (lizard), 2 axolotyls, a crayfish and guppies) so getting lights and stuff is way cheaper, plus that's where the old prescription food was cheapest.

Plus then someone ELSE gets to carry the litter up the stairs for me, lol

But the local sale actually ended up beating out chewy by like 10 cents per can so I decided to jump on it where I could :) And while picking up groceries at Walmart they had those 3 boxes marked half off because the box was damaged...cans inside are just fine....I asked the ex if he could please keep an eye out for those in the future and shoot me a text if he sees them since that's a steal (and he says those boxes break all the time)!
 
Up a smidge at the pmps, just shy of keeping it in the yellow, but close enough. I haven't seen such clean bowls since before they started the prescription food last year, I think both cats are quite pleased with the change. I hid the mousies with 3 salmon purebites broken up into 10 pieces split between the 5 and hid at roughly +5 this morning...so far they have found 3 of them.

Back off to gaming with friends, gonna stop home at about +4 to check on kitties and give bedtime meals and then BF and I have late late night tickets to go see Avengers :)
 
Only a tiny uptick at +4. Also they found the last 2 mousies while I was away.

Gonna try and do a curve tomorrow since they seem to be doing well on all low carb food. I am thinking AMPS, +3, +6, +9, PMPS, +3. Does that seem like a sufficient curve? Any suggestions?
