After last night's unfortunate furshot - hoping that today will be nicer with a nice gentle descent. Mama bean is going to Farmer's Market and grocery shopping this morning - so I'll have to stop by in a couple of hours for a quick BG before continuing to do errands. Fingers/paws crossed for some time on the beach perhaps...then maybe a little time paddling around the lagoon? No deep dives please!

DH has done a fine job of steering this morning while mama was out shopping (of course he was texting or calling with every update)...advised him to mix some MC with her LC at 2+ after that big drop - we could tell she was racing for the lagoon!! At 3+ he fed her MC w/LC again - by 4+ we could tell she was slowing down and had just gotten to the lagoon; at 5+ she was in and surfing nicely...at 6+ she made that turn and headed for the beach.

I know that was not enough time in the lagoon - but considering her dramatic approach to the beach/lagoon - I just feel that it's best if we start feeding her small amounts of MC to help her apply the brakes - I mean really there's no success in those cannonballs she likes to do - then she's way under before we can even catch her! Miss Big Dive Drama girl - we kept her away from the sharks this time.

I always wonder if we let her go a little longer without MC food - would she keep plunging? I've done that before when she was in the 140's and paid the price - so it just seems after those big 100 point drops it's time to slow her down...

We'll keep working with this little girl - trying to get her to the lagoon without her taking the deep dives...I think she's probably hit her nadir for today - typical of her to start coming up and by PMPS she's back into the yellows. Let's see if I'm right about that much. Then tonight she'll get her insulin and make a beeline for the lagoon - more watching and MC food in the mix - we shall see. :)

Happy Caturday everyone! Healing vines to all kitties in need :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Good job to DH. At least Luci dipped her toes in the water. :D:D
I was just saying to him he did a good job today - and in the last month (approximately) Luci has been in the lagoon 14 days (sometimes only for an hour) - such an improvement!! I'm hoping as we progress she'll have more and more days where she hits the lagoon - be it for an hour or all day - wouldn't that be something! Just gotta hit that sweet spot with the insulin dosage...I'm so proud of her :):cat::cat::cat:
