Happy Friday! Sending many vines to all in need especially to Scooter, Barsa, Billie, Rhiannon's Shadow, Amy's Dad, and any others requiring them.

Until we get back to daily posting, at least we can do Lupita Friday condos just to give everyone a laugh at the end of the week. At least, I hope you laugh. :):)

LBG has been doing well...eating well, playing, wrasslin' with Tobes, sunning on her catio....all the things she loves. Today, we are having some maintenance work done on the deck around the pool and they are pressure washing it first. The doors and windows are open so it's a bit noisy but Gracie is supervising. She goes from door to window to door just to see what they are doing out there. Lupita came in when Gracie was sitting on one of her cubes intently watching the outdoor activity. When Lupita spoke to her, she partially turned her head and gave a bit of a stinkeye I'm supervising, Pita, can't you see??? Lupita, ever the optimistic, like @Carl & Polly & Bob (GA), decided to push the envelope with the wee brown one asking "what you watching, mamas?" Missy G with ears back but not turning her head toward Lupita said hissssssssss! I'm working!!! Lupita: "hey mamas, can I hold you today?" Well, that got a resounding "no" from LBG as she turned all the way around towards Lupita: hssssssss!!! I BUSY, PITA!!!! hsssssssss! There is a comfort in some things never changing ;););)

We continue to have on again, off again good numbers with Gracie. I'm afraid some insulin resistance built up a bit in the past few weeks when I've been a little too cautious on dose increases because of guests, Mike being sick, me being gone, etc etc. but I gave her a larger increase this week and if that doesn't work, will increase by more next time until we get her back to good numbers consistently.

Mike is on week four of the junk he's had. He was much worse earlier in the week and so went back to the doctor on Thurs. They said his sinuses looked worse and he has a touch of bronchitis so they've changed his a/b to something stronger and gave him some cough syrup/antihistamine with codeine. I think last night was the first night in three weeks that he was actually able to sleep without coughing up a lung and he seems better today. Finally...poor guy; he's really been sick. Jason, his son, comes tomorrow night for a week.

Although I've been putting a lot of extra hours in at work and will continue to do so, I'm hoping to get back on the board a little more regularly after Jason leaves. I'm shooting for a few times a week because I miss everyone so much.

Miss Gracie, your mama is talking dosecrease! Just because she's not doing a condo daily, don't think your LLL Aunties aren't thinking of your and watching out for you! How about a little action, please?

Poor Mike. I can't believe he's been so miserable so long. I hope the change in meds continues to help and he feels well enough to enjoy his visit with his son. Sending him some healing vines.
 
I'm glad to see the Friday post. It does cause me to laugh and is much appreciated. I hope the end is in sight for Mike's sinus infection. That must be brutal.

Gracie, you are our inspiration with your beautiful ss so please get back on track. Thanks.

I hope the dosecrease helps get her back on track. I'm sorry Mike is still sick, but glad he's finally doing better.
 
Yes I am another Lupita story lover!
I think Mike has had this winter flu worse than anybody I know and I know a lot of people who have had it alone with me. I am so glad to hear he got a good nights rest. The simple things are the best!

I am so grateful for all of your help! You may think you aren't helping but to me personally you are! I am grateful for you in my life.:)

Poor Mike, that bug has really overdue to pack it's bags. Thank goodness he got some sleep, that can feel so awful without.
 
@Tricia & Cinco Happy to oblige, my friend! Gracie is happy her aunties still look out for her. She's on me every day about doing a condo because she does so many adorable things in one day ;);):cat::cat:

@tiffmaxee I'm glad she makes you smile. Our Lil Stinka! Yes, Mike has really been under the weather. And Gracie thanks you for the wishes that her numbers will get back to good ones!

@Linda and Scooter & Jack :bighug:Thank you! It's been very hard to be away from you all and not be helping as much. Soon, I hope. But my prayers are always with you all. I hope you are past your stuff. Doc said Mike didn't have flu...sinus infection/bronchitis. I bet the flu is worse although this has been pretty bad.

@Wendy&Neko yuppers....her horns are out....that's what gives it away;) I know Carl will think she's happy about Lupita holding her but we know otherwise. I'm also thankful he was finally able to sleep. A round of a/bs, four bottles of robitussin, 6 packages of sudafed, and very little rest so I hope he's turning the corner.

Now about those numbers. tsk,tsk,tsk. You can do better, young lady.

Vines that Mike's crud finally BE-GONE. Wow, it's a persistent bug isn't it.

Glad that Mike is getting better. Sinus infections/bronchitis are horrible. Sending strong vines!

thanks for the Lupita Friday update! I'm sorry Mike still has the cough - it's a bad one! Hope he perks up before Jason gets there (that's thinking very optimistically!)
 
I think that face says, "I am condescending to tolerate you, but only because mommy has treats." Poor Mikey. I'm glad they final gave him the codeine cough syrup. If he's going to get better, he needs sleep!

Good to hear that Mike is doing better, knock on wood , it hasn't hit us. We love Lupita Fridays too! Wo on la Principessa allowing her royal self to be held! Those must be good treats you were holding!;)

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) Oh what a GREAT photo!!! I love that!!! What a sweet little deer. Rusty looks bigger than the deer.
@julie & punkin (ga) I agree...that does not look like remorse on that sweet face. Yeah, I don't think he's going to be 100% before Jason gets here; maybe 75%...that would be great.
@Marycatmom I think Missy G was just resigned. She hopes "brother" Mikey is doing better after his dental. That codeine is good stuff!
@rhiannon and shadow Yes...I gave him the saline spray, he used it once, he said it made it worse. I keep saline spray around here because it is so dry but if he tries something once and it doesn't work....that's it! ;)
@Ann & Tess I hope you all do not have this get anywhere near you. It's bad stuff. Oh Gracie will let anyone hold her but the look on her face, unless it's mommy or daddy, clearly has disdain.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same thing I had in February. Really knocked me out for most of the month and whatever I had has been all over town and is obviously very contagious. A cough that won't go away - even now 6 weeks later i'm still coughing here and there, although nothing like it was. I hope Mike feels better soon.
 
Poor Mike! That nasty bug has hung around waaaay too long. :( I'm still voting for more vegetables. :p Lupita is fearless. :p Hope you get more green with this dose. Get to work, Gracie, you know how twitchy yer bean can be.

It's always nice to see a Gracie condo! You did make me laugh...especially with that picture :cat::cat::cat: Sorry Gracie...I don't mean to take sides, but Lupita looks like a very sweet lady. She has to get some points for trying, right? I hope Mike feels better soon!!
 
Love the pic Marje, but somehow Gracie looks a little insincere ........barely tolerating that cuddle I would say!

Hope poor Mike turns the corner soon, it's gone on way too long. Perhaps Jason's visit will give him a much needed boost. Have a good weekend.
 
Had so much to do before Jason gets here that I was sound asleep by 9 :joyful::joyful:

@Anne & Zener (GA) Liz....we've been working on that and he's doing better with the veggies. I've gotten him to eat cooked carrots and a large salad with a variety of organic greens and chopped mixed veggies every night ...baby steps.

@Deanna & Billie I hope Billie is better! You are correct...Lupita is the sweetest, kindest soul. Just not in Gracies eyes!

@suki & crystal you hit it spot on...she was just tolerating it. I think Jason coming will be exactly what Mike needs. And more codeine :). Crystals SS is looking better and you are doing great with the R!

Have a great visit with Jason, I hope he is more of a Cat Person than your last houseguest! :nailbiting: Sending healing vines for poor Mike- ick!! :bighug::bighug: As for Missy G- and Lupita, that pic tells me all I need to know, clearly, Gracie is being tortured by Pita! :joyful::D:p:p Thanks for the smile today!
